I’d gotten ready for the day, still not 100 percent comfortable with leaving Jade at home alone but she promised she would be ok. I showed her how to work the camera system and downloaded the security footage to her phone as well. That way she could see anyone coming. She knew I was meeting with Taniyah today and told me to be careful. She didn’t trust anyone and since we knew Taniyah was working with Monty, she told me to take a recorder and get everything we discuss on tape.

I didn’t realize my phone was on silent and didn’t see Taniyah’s messages until I was already on my way to our meet up spot. She said she’d meet me at my offices so I hit a quick U-Turn and sped the entire way there. Something was up and the closer I got, the more I started to worry. The last thing I needed was Taniyah at my company showing her ass and making a scene. Twenty minutes later I was pulling up to my building and searched for Taniyah’s car. I figured she would be parked out front but she was nowhere to be found. I tried calling but it just rang and rang. After getting her voicemail 4 times, I began to worry. Her messages said she was here but her car was nowhere to be found. I went into the office and asked my secretary if she’d seen a young woman come into the office looking for me. She said no and told me the office had been fairly quiet all day.

I went up to my office and closed the door. I tried calling Taniyah one more time and still got no answer. After an hour of waiting, I decided to go ahead and get some actual work done since I was already there. “Maybe she figured out I was on to her and didn’t want to meet up anymore”, I thought to myself. Just as I got into a steady pace for work, I received an email notification from an unfamiliar name with the message title ‘Urgent News’. There was a video clip of the security cameras from the parking garage next to my building. I watched Taniyah’s car pull into the garage where she waited for me. After a few minutes of nothing happening a homeless man appeared out of nowhere. I looked in sheer disbelief as pulled out a gun and shot her in the head and moved her body into the back seat. He drove off in her car and the footage was cut to a black screen.
What the fuck did I just watch? There was no way this was real. I tried calling Taniyah again and there was still no answer. Just as I was about to call again, another email came through. It was Monty. He was confirming the time and place of our next meeting. The sick bastard even had the nerve to ask if I enjoyed the video clip he sent to me. This was getting out of control fast. I saved the video and paged my secretary, letting her know that I’d be out of the office for the rest of the day. That video fucked me up. I began to panic and I sent Jade a text making sure she was still home and safe. I was starting to feel like my back was against the wall. I called Kentrell and he picked up on the first ring.

“Nigga this shit has gotten way out of control.” I said frantically.

“What you mean, what’s going on?” Kentrell asked concerned.

“This mothafucka Monty! We gotta get rid of this nigga bro. That’s the only way to get out this situation.” I told him, still in a panic.

“Wait, wait, wait. What you mean get rid of him? What the fuck happened?” he yelled.

“Monty killed Taniyah bro. Ain’t no way this nigga gone let me walk away from him without it costing me.” I said, still on the verge of breaking down.

Yeah Taniyah may have had her own fucked up ways but she didn’t deserve to die like that. What about her son? What the fuck was she going to tell me that had Monty pressed enough to get rid of her? Shit was moving too fast and I needed to get a handle on everything and quick.

"What you mean he killed her? How you know it was him? I thought you weren’t fucking with her or talking to her after finding out she lied about the kid.” Kentrell asked, still trying to put things together.
