I heaved the trash into the large bin and dusted my hands off proudly.

Look at me!

A strong, independent woman!

I don't need no man!

Suddenly I felt watched and ran inside the house scared out of my mind.

I panted as I locked the door and looked around.

Jesus, that was like, five feet. Why am I out of breath?

I checked my phone and saw my mom texted me telling me she and dad went out on an emergency work trip and I'd be alone for a few days.

Ohh!

What should I do?

I have the house to myself!

I got a text from a group chat I was in inviting me to a party.

I agreed obviously.

I'd like to say I'm well liked at school. I'm pretty popular too.

I got dressed and then went outside to meet Daniel.

"Hey!" I grinned.

"Boo!" Zoe jumped out from behind him.

We laughed and walked to the party.

Daniel kept looking over his shoulder as we walked.

"What's wrong?" Zoe and I asked at the same time.

"I just thought we were being followed. I'm sure it's nothing though." I smiled and I looked around.

"I swear, I've been seeing this car everywhere I go!"

I guess we all got spoked cause we started sprinting down the road.

"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" I panicked.

"AHHH!" The two shouted and we ran faster.

We finally made it to the house and ran up the steps.

Panting, we fell onto an empty couch.

"You think we lost whoever that was?" Zoe asked and I looked around.

"Maybe? There's to many people in here so whoever that was can blend in. Especially since we don't who we're looking for." I frowned.

"There you guys are." Zach walked over with Mira.

"Is everything okay?" She asked concerned.

Daniel went on to explain and Zack rolled his eyes.

"You guys are stupid."

"We may be stupid but at least we're alive." I huffed.

"Whatever." Zack rolled his eyes.

Mira looked at him with crossed arms and he sighed.

"Sorry sorry."

After a while, we all mingled with everyone.

Ugh, it's so stuffy.

"I'll be back. Ima take a breath outside."

"I'll go with you." Mira and Zoe said and we all went out.

We talked about random stuff and sat on the patio chairs.

The fresh air felt nice.

This is the life.
