"Um. It's not much but we can always go to my place to play games. They're not very new, so you guys probably already played them but they're still fun in my opinion!" I smiled nervously.
What am I doing!?
Inviting them to my house!?
Am I crazy!?
"Sure!" Crystal smiled.
"I got nothing better to do." DG looked at his watch.
Um, that felt backhanded.
Maybe I'm just sensitive.
"Gun, do you need help with the bags?" I asked walking next to him on the sidewalk.
"No." He didn't take his eyes off of what was in front of him.
"Are you sure? You're carrying a lot. You're going to get tired."
"I'm fine."
I opened my mouth but Goo put an arm around me.
"Eh, come on, leave him and pay attention to me!" He smiled.
"Oh... okay?"
He began to talk about anime, money, swords, money, swords, money, swords and food.
"Ah... very cool." I nodded before Gun caught my attention. "Are you sure you don't need help?" I asked noticing the annoyed look on his face.
Maybe it's too heavy for him now.
"You know what, yes I do."
I was about to reach out to take a bag when five of the bags were shoved into Goo's arms.
"Hey!" Goo protested.
We got into the car after a bit more walking and we drove back to my house.
What if it smells like poverty to them?
I shakily opened the door and let them in.
"Oh, smells like vanilla and oranges!" Crystal complimented and I smiled at her.
"Thanks!"
Gun, Goo and DG walked past us and into the living room.
"Look at them. Acting like they own the place." Crystal shook her head and apologized.
"It's okay. Let's go join them."
We walked into the living room and DG was sat in my father's armchair.
Gun and Goo were knelt over the TV and were probably trying to figure out how to turn on my ancient console.
"Got it! Jesus, this TV is old! I'm surprised it connected." Goo laughed.
I rolled my eyes and pretended not to be hurt by the comment.
"Shut up. Let me help-"
I paused when I noticed my old console off its stand and the new one I was eyeing connected.
"Huh?" I asked confused.
Then I laughed.
"Gun, was mine so old you didn't want to use it? You hate it so much that you connected your new one just for a while?" I rolled my eyes.
"No. I'm taking pity and putting the old one out of its misery. Look at it, it's about to give out."
"Hey, that's a hand me down from my favorite cousin!"
"Obviously. He must hate you to give you that crap."
"SHE gave it to me for my birthday! Okay? And I appreciate it very much!"
"Just how poor is your family?" Goo laughed and I gritted my teeth.
