We ate in silence for a few minutes. Carl cleared his throat. "Can I say something?" Rick looked up at him, the first time he's looked up from his dinner. "Of course. Go ahead." He grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"Amie and I are dating." He blurted it out, shocking everyone. Rick and Lori were the most shocked.

"Wh-what? Since when?" Lori asked. Her face was as white as it would be if she saw a ghost.

"Since July 11. After you and I talked in the barn. Somebody was eavesdropping on our conversation." Carl said to his father, mock hitting my arm.

"I'm sorry. But that was kind of my place. I was up there crying before I got ambushed! I'm not mad. I'm actually really happy. I wouldn't have you if it didn't happen." Carl looked at me with pain in his eyes. "Oh, god. Carl! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way. Please don't be mad. I was kidding. Hey. Come here." He got up and walked over to me. I stood up and hugged him. "Don't be mad. Please."

I grabbed him and pulled him back in to the chair. I sat on his lap while everyone asked us questions.

"Have you guys kissed yet?" Carol asked suspiciously.

"Yep." Carl said, popping the p.

"Prove it!" Daryl said from the corner. "Okay." Carl pulled me in to a kiss. It wasn't as passionate as in the barn, but that was a little too passionate for public display. He tugged at my bottom lip, and it was the sexiest thing ever. I didn't realize how long we had been kissing until someone- I think it was Rick- cleared their throat.

"Thank you for reminding us why we don't miss public displays of affection. Can you not?" Definitely Daryl.
Our lips pulled away, and I gave Daryl this half smirk half glare. Everyone laughed, and Carl kissed me again, less intense this time.
"We should get to sleep. We have a big day tomorrow." Rick said, rising from his chair.
"That's a good idea. Goodnight." Call said, getting up rather quickly. He was avoiding eye contact with everyone, especially me. Me and Beth got up and started collecting dishes. She looked at me out of the corner of her eye, winking.
"Somebody liked that," she said, trying not to laugh.
"More than one somebody. Was I the only one that picked up on that?"
"No you were not." I grinned. We washed dishes and put the food away, then retired to our respective areas.

I am so so so so so so sorry for not updating. I've been really busy and my phone keeps dying before I can write and I get really mad. I will post the other part of this later or tomorrow, and it will be longer than this. And yes, I know that this sucks. If you want to be a character, comment.
