***Carl's POV***
Amie and I went out to the fire to have breakfast. Eggs and sausage. Again. Same as we've had for the last week. Can't complain. At least it's food.
"How was your night in the barn?" my dad asked me.
"What?" My mother looked like her head was about to explode. Whoops.
"You didn't tell her?"
"No. I kind of forgot."
"Dad. You don't just forget that your son is sleeping in a hay loft with his girlfriend! Especially when they are both teenagers with raging hormones! Oh my god. I can't believe you actually forgot!"
"Wow. I didn't think of that. Now I'm thinking about revoking your barn privileges."
"Woah woah woah. I was just using that to prove my point! Please no. It's so comfortable. Way more comfortable than the tent."
"Okay. As long as there's monkey business going on. You know what I mean. None of it. Got it?"
"Yes." We both said in unison, making us both laugh and making everyone else erupt in a chorus of 'aww's and 'so cute!'s. We both blushed, causing the chorus to grow. After a few minutes, everyone quieted down. We fun finished our breakfast and went about our day.
***Amie's POV***
I feel like something isn't right. Like something is missing. I can't put my finger on it. I'll figure it out. I know I will.
"Amie!"
"Yeah?" It was Carol.
"You okay? You've been acting strange."
"Yeah. I'm okay. I feel like something missing. I can't figure it out though. I'm okay. I promise."
"Okay. If you need anything you can come see me."
"Thanks Carol." She walked away, leaving me staring at the embers of the fire.
That's when I heard the scream.
***A/N***
I'm so sorry this is short! I will have the next chapter up later. Who screamed? Why? I'm so mean.
