***Amie's POV***
I saw the walkers and the carnage. I couldn't tell who was who. I jumped in the back of a truck right before it started moving. It went slow so people could jump in the back. Maggie and Beth jumped in together. We were almost to the end of the driveway when I saw two figures running towards us. They jumped in and I realized that it was Rick and Carl. I was in shock. He was alive.
***Carl's POV***
It all went so fast. Shane. The barn. The walkers. I started running at one of the trucks that was driving away. It was slow enough to catch, if we ran faster. I pointed it out to my dad and watched as his pace quickened. Mine quickened with it. I had to make it. I jumped in first, then Dad. I took a second to catch my breath. I looked at the familiar faces in the bed of the truck. Maggie, Beth, and... Amie. She was alive. She ambushed me with kisses, her arms wrapped around me in a death grip. She had tears running down her face. She buried her face in my neck, her tears staining my shirt.
"I thought I lost you," she said into my shoulder.
"Never Princess. I'll always be here."
"Carl?"
"Yeah Princess?"
"Stay with me."
I paused for a minute.
"Always Princess."
***A/N***
Aaaaand cue the romantic music oh my god. That was adorable. Sorry about the suckiness of the last one I just didn't have the energy to write the 5 chapters that I was planning on. So here it is. More to come in the sequel...
