The Stars

Elena's Pov

I kissed him, I just kissed Chase and he kissed me back. What got me is when he said "Tesoro I don't deserve you", the heartless mafia is just as broken as me. Now I was sitting on Chase's lap, our foreheads resting together. I can't believe what just happened "Chase", I said softly. "Hmm", is all he said. "You said that you didn't deserve me let alone that, you said you didn't deserve love. Why would you think that you don't deserve love." 

"Tesoro, we come from two different worlds. I kill people, you save people Love. I was trained to suppress my feelings until I can't feel them anymore, my father trained me to be ruthless and to not show any emotion to anyone or anything. But.......you Tesoro I never thought I would be attracted to anyone until I met you, I never thought I would need someone like how I need you. When you decided to take your life, my heart stopped for a moment because I thought I lost you. Elena you don't know what effect you have on me, from seeing you smile over small things to seeing you get mad when I don't listen to you. For a second I thought I lost all that, I felt like I lost you because I messed up. To be honest the feelings you make me feel are all new, I never felt like this for anyone before.", he said to me looking down at the floor.

"Ti prometto che finché sarò vivo niente ti farà mai del male e ti amerò per sempre", Chase said in Italian.

"Chase, I can't speak Italian", I tell him feeling embarrassed. "Don't worry Tesoro, it's for me to know.", he said. Now we laying in his bed he fell asleep with his arms wrapped around my waist, when he is asleep he looks so peaceful. Chase looks like an angel, he is probably one who just lost their way.

I wake up in a shock to see Chase no where next to me, until I felt a cool breeze, the balcony door was opened. I saw Chase standing outside, I get out of bed and I go towards him. I hugged him from the back, I felt his muscles they relaxed to my touch. "Chase, what are you doing outside."

"Nothing Tesoro, I just came out to breath and to look at the stars", he said in a gentle tone. The stars I never thought Chase would be the type to be stargazing, the sky was full of stars and the moon was there but it wasn't so bright.

"Chase, you like the stars", I asked because now I want to know what about the stars he likes. "Yes, Tesoro the stars. I look at the stars because I know it won't fix all our problems, it won't stop shit from happening but it's important because it helps you to remember that you and your problems are both infinitesimally small and conversely, that you are a piece of an amazing and vast universe.", he said turning around to look at me.

I was feeling cold, Chase could see so he pulled me towards him and held me, the warmth from his body was so comforting, I felt safe with him in his arms. "Lets go in now", he said earning a nod from me.
