A week had passed since Naruto stayed in Arcadia. During the past week, Enoch had begun Naruto's training in the ways of magic and alchemy. Though Naruto could no longer weild chakra, it didn't mean he was useless. Naruto had huge potential in the magic arts but he was unruly and loud. Enoch needed great patience when it came to teaching Naruto.

''Again.'' Enoch said as Naruto focused his magical energy to bend the fire on the small candle in front of him. The flame started to bend but Naruto's focus broke. ''sighs again.''

''Damn it old man! Why do I have to learn the basics instead of going to the cool spells?'' Naruto shouted at Enoch, who proceeded to hit the blonde on the head with an iron staff. ''Hey! That hurts!''

''And I told you to stop calling me old man.'' Enoch simply said as he composed himself. ''Try again.''

''But it's so annoying!''

''It wouldn't be had you been patient but I suppose impatience is a trait that runs deep in your clan. Particulary from your mother.''

''Hey! It's not! I would be a better ninja if the academy instructors taught me properly but they never did!''

''Are you sure? Last I checked you were the class clown. Always goofing off, never paying attention in class, seeking the attention of a pink haired girl. Though you blame the academy instructors for things like sabotaging your grades, when I checked your memories I found no such evidence. You simply lack the mind to pay attention to detail. This is why ninjas have such a high death rate.''

''But it's so boring!''

''On the surface it may but even what we call 'boring' can be interesting to others. And also to us if listened properly. There is no boring in this world. People only choose to listen to what they want to hear.'' Enoch, after giving this little lecture, had lit two more candles. ''Now try with 3.''

''What!? I can't even do it with one!''

''Your reserves are large. Perhaps by focusing on using more, maybe you can use magic to a better extent. Begin.''

Hidden Leaf village

About 2 weeks passed since Naruto's supposed kidnapping. The first days at first were relatively peaceful. The people of the Leaf celebrated the disappearance of the 9 tails vessel but trouble soon followed.

For one, Orochimaru's minions had broken Sasuke Uchiha out of his prison cell and Sasuke defected from the Leaf. Second were the border skirmishes with Stone and Lightning. Third was that their economic ties with Wave Country and military alliance with Sand was hanging on a thin thread after Naruto's sentence and kidnapping. Things were extremely bad for Tsunade.

Danzo Shimura was extremely angry over recent events. The Leaf warhawk and Foundation commander did not like how his plans were sabotaged by unknown forces. How he and the tens of thousands in the Leaf village suddenly fell asleep by the time Naruto was kidnapped was a mystery. His plans to get Naruto, was thrown down the sink just like that.

''Hey Tsunade!'' Jiraiya of the Sannin had entered through the window as usual. ''Wow, the Leaf looks really down right now. Anyways, where the blonde brat? I have to take him on a training trip.''

''The kid is... kidnapped, Jiraiya.'' Tsunade replied in a tired voice, surprising Jiraiya.

''What!? Who did it? Stone? Cloud? Orochimaru? Who!?'' Jiraiya asked frantically, his blood boiling in anger.

''Some unknown force, Jiraiya. That's all. Some... very powerful and mysterious force just took him.''

''How did it happen? Tell me everything you know.'' Jiraiya asked and Tsunade told him everything. Starting from the hospital incident, to Naruto's sentence and whatever she knew happened that day. Hearing the news, Jiraiya got increasingly angrier. At the village and the council for ordering such a punishment that Naruto didn't deserve.

''And we all just fell asleep like that. Next thing I know, Naruto was gone. I dispatched several squads of Anbu to find him but none so far have any luck.''

''I'll find him.'' Jiraiya said to Tsunade.

''What? Jiraiya, as much as I care about Naruto, the village needs you more than ever.''

''Sorry Tsunade but I've neglected my duties as a godfather for too long now. It's time I make up for lost time.''

''But the village-''

''I know I'm spitting on the memory of your grandfather, granduncle and Sarutobi sensei but after what they did to Naruto, I don't really care about it much. I will send intel back to you but in the meantime, I'm travelling the world searching for my godson.'' and Jiraiya jumped out of the window to do just that.

''Now even Jiraiya left. This just keeps getting worse for me.''

Arcadia

''To win a battle, you must know your enemy. Not simply know them but also their philosophy, history, art and culture. Know them as you would a book, understand them and you can win a hundred battles.'' Enoch said to his apprentice who was listening.

''And why would I want to know them? They're my enemies aren't they?'' Naruto asked and Enoch chuckled.

''It's not about wanting, Naruto. If you know how your opponent would react in any situation, you can easily predict their moves. Their actions. They will fall into your hands like a puppet bound to strings. And you can tear them piece by piece.'' Enoch explained to Naruto who, despite being against the idea of knowing your enemies history and personality, found the tactic extremely efficient.

''Continue reading, Naruto. These are the best books of war tactics, history, politics and economics that we have. The elven scribes have every detail needed for you to learn.'' Enoch said. He wanted his apprentice to learn everything necessary to bring about Arcadia's second rise.

''If you don't mind me asking master, what was your life like before being king?''

''That... is a story that I thought I would reveal at a later date. I will tell you about it one day but for now, read these books and understand their lessons.''

Naruto was reading his assigned books when he sensed an incoming attack. He jumped up quickly to avoid the attack and landed behind his table. The attackers were 3 assassins made of fire and Naruto, using his new magic, coated his arms and legs and chest with water. The fire beings attacked with fire swords and spears and Naruto engaged them with a water staff.

He blocked the first strike, then kicked the first attacker and dodged the second incoming attack. He kicked the fire being right in the face and did a somersault and struck the third one in the chest. He blocked another attack and then engaged the remaining assassins. After another 3 intense minutes of fighting, Naruto managed to win against his attackers, much to the joy of his master.

''Excellent, Naruto. Your training is going well. I believe in less than 3 years, you will be the perfect heir to Arcadia. Now, let's go outside to the nearby river.'' Enoch commanded and Naruto did so.

Naruto ran down the river, jumped on the rocks and did a forward flip. He jumped up and landed atop a rock 4 metres in height. He ran again and climbed a tree with only one hand. He looked to see the vibrant landscape. The river Rhûn flowing through the land with wild vegetation growing. The birds singing, the wild animals playing and the sights of nature. He felt the life flowing and embraced it as was his training.

He jumped back down and walked to his master. ''Sword form 1'' Enoch said as he handed Naruto a sword. Naruto did as instructed and got into his stance. ''Sword form 2'' Enoch ordered again and Naruto did so. ''Good. Now, destroy the stone warriors I created.'' Enoch said and 7 stone warriors came to attack Naruto.

Naruto fought against the stone warriors with slight difficulty given that he was using his left hand but he won nontheless. Enoch was extremely pleased with Naruto's progress and now, he could move on to harder subjects now that he covered most of the basics.
