JuviaPOV

I was rummaging through my closet for my speedo swimsuit. It was a one piece with a razor back and navy in color. I swim the fastest in that swimsuit. I finally found it and went to change into it. I threw on a white tank top over it and blue shorts. I put a pair of dry underwear in my bag along with my swim cap and goggles. I tie my hair up into a tight bun and head downstairs to the living room. I put on my sandals and walk out the door. I glance at my watch, it was only 8:00 am. It was a 20 minute walk to the pool located on the edge of the campus. I wanted to get there early and warm up, before anyone else came. I haven't swum in ages. I need to get warmed up before competing against the people who were already on the team. Aquarius makes everyone try out every year, just becuase you were on the team last year wasn't a garuntee you would be on it this year. I needed to up my game.

I sent a quick text to everyone saying that I will meet them there and wanted to warm up before the actaul tryouts. They were probably still sleeping. I put my headphones in and make the walk to the pool.

I reached there just as my favorite song "raindrops" ended. I smile to myself and shimmy out of my clothes. I stuff my shorts and shirt into my bag and pull out the swim cap and goggles. I secure my hair under the cap. I look at the goggles in my hand and toss them back into the bag. I wont need them now. I am the water woman. I can see under water with my magic if it comes to that. But since I know Aquarius wont let me use magic i will need them later. For now i just need to swim and let myself go. I dive into the water and begin my blissful escape.

Gary POV

I got up early, not sure why. I glanced at the clock it was 8:15. I groan. Aquarius wanted us there at 9:30 to help set up before the people arrived. If i went back to sleep I know I would not wake up. I slowly get out of bed and got dressed. I looked at my closet. I see my swim trunks hung in the closest. It has been awhile, and I am early. I might as well swim a bit before Aquarius arrives. I switch into the trunks and head over to the pool. I glanced at my watch when i reached the gate. It was 8:30; perfect, I can swim for an hour. I thought to myself as I walk through the gate. As I enter I see Juvia at the far end with her head phones in and undressing. Thank god she had her swimsuit on underneath. I would look like some pervert otherwise just staring. I saw her put her headphones and phone in her bag and pull on the cap. I decided to say hi now that her ears were free.

I saw her turn towards the pool. The words got stuck in my throat. She looked so lost and sad. She put her goggles back in her bag and dove into the pool. I walk over to where her stuff was and sat down on a chair. She swam so gracefully. Her eyes were closed as she did a smooth backstroke back and forth in the pool. she flipped in the pool now that she was on her front and started doing the butterfly. She switched between all the different styles of swimming without breaking a stride. I watched in awe as she moved so flawlessly in the water. Her eyes stayed closed the entire time. Her face was so calm and serene. It was so enchanting even. She wasn't even using magic. After what I think was 50 laps she broke the surface and let her hands glide along the surface slowly and let the water trickle through her fingers. She looked towards the open sky dome at the rising sun. She looked so at peace. She turned around to probably get to her bag when she noticed me. She was startled.

I decided to say something to break the awkward tension.

"Hey"

Juvia's POV

I swam a good 50 laps and decided to take a break. I stopped swimming and let my arms relax on the surface as i looked to the sky. It was beautiful. I turned to head towards my bag when i noticed gray. I was shocked. I never expected to see him there.
