The glistening blue waves crashed together loudly at my feet, smoothing
away the footprints I had left. Nobody would be able to track me down now.
There was nobody in the water or on the beach- just a small boat on the horizon,
and they would never cross my path if the current cooperated. Already, another
wave was crashing in. Too loud, too fast. Definitely not safe to swim in. The
lifeguards would not approve. But who would care if I did die in these waves?
Nobody, that’s who. My body would sink to the bottom of the Pacific, and that
would be the end of it. I had nobody left to live for, nothing left to do in life. So
here it was, the end.
I plunged into the frigid waters. Everything was black within minutes. I did
not plan on surviving.
