46: Hi and Bye

I sat at a table behind the 5sos boy's and smiled as fans asked me to sign posters. I spotted a few familiar faces in the line from the crowd I had performed in front of earlier. It made me happy to see all these people but I was so tired. A girl that looked about 13 walked up to the table she looked so happy and was smiling the widest she probably ever had in her entire life.

"Hello!" I smiled as she slide me a notebook.

"Hi," she smiled back.

"Whats your name?" I asked.

"Cas," she replied.

"How are you doing, Cas?"

"I'm happy," she replied still smiling widely.

"It makes me happy that you're happy," I said sliding her notebook back to her. She nodded before thanking me and walking off. I smiled as the next person in line stepped up.

(4 hours of signing and talking later)

Finally the last person walked up to the table and handed me a t-shirt.

"Hi, how are you?" she asked me first which surprised me.

"Tired," I sighed.

"Oh," she replied and took the shirt trying to leave hastily.

"I didn't mean it like that, since you were the last person lets talk a bit," I suggested.

"ok," she shrugged.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"My name is Jess," she smiled.

"Nice to meet you Jess," I replied holding out my hand for them to shake. She took my hand and shook it firmly.

"How old are you?"

"14."

"Got a boyfriend?" I asked. She grimaced and shook their head.

"Guys are gross."

"Why do you think that?" I asked.

"The thing in their pants is just weird, it looks like a long nose," she said shaking her head in disgust making me laugh super loud.

"So you have a girlfriend then?"

"Yeah," she smiled.

"That's cool, play any instruments?"

"I'd like to play guitar," she said shaking their head.

"Why is that?"

"I like the sound and I want to be like you and 5sos," she replied bashfully. She leaned in close and gestured for me to come close.

"I also want to impress my girlfriend," she added. I laughed and clapped. I thought for a while smiled before calling a security guard over and asking them to go get one of my smaller acoustics. When he brought it back I put it on the crappy table covered with cloth and signed it.

"You don't have to do that," she said quickly.

"Don't be silly I'm investing," I replied winking and making a clicking noise with my tongue. She giggled and thanked me before running off. When she was out of eyesight I stood up and stretched.

"Alrighty then guys let's go," I said to the guards. We all walked backstage and grabbed our stuff. I grabbed a raisin cookie, stuck it in my mouth, and walked out the door. I took out my phone and opened SoundCloud to some old playlists I had made in 9th grade. Nodding my head to the music I walked to the van where my friends were waiting for me.

"Hey can I have a bite of your cookie?" Calum asked. I broke off a piece and handed it to him. He put it in his mouth but soon spit it out.

"AHHHHHHH RAISIN, THIS IS WHY I HAVE TRUST ISSUES!" He screamed.

"Are you allergic?" I asked frantically.

"No they're just gross," he replied. I swung my backpack at him and hit his side.

"Ow! why'd you do that?" Calum asked.

"You gave me a heart attack!" I screamed punching his arm. He laughed and opened the door of the van for me.

"What took so long?" Michael spat.

"I was talking to a fan," I spat back plopping down in a seat far away from him.

"About what, periods?" he laughed.

"Guys please don't fight," Luke begged and stood up.

"Luke sit the fuck down," Michael said and Luke obeyed.

"What's your problem?" I asked standing up and turning towards him

"You're my problem!" He yelled back.

"Must be one damn sexy problem!" I shouted back and sat down.

"You're not sexy! You're the ugliest thing I've ever seen," he laughed pointing at me.

"That's it! I'm tired of you belittling me and throwing insults at me, expecting me to just take it and be fine. When we get to the hotel, I'm leaving!" I yelled curling up in the corner of my seat.

"What the hell Mike?" I heard Ashton say.

"What?" He replied.

"You just got rid of our opening act!" Luke whisper yelled.

"We'll replace her, I found this band called HeyViolet is really good-" I cut him off by putting my headphones in my ears and blasting the music at the highest volume it allowed.
