This was an idea I received from @Bylerxstrangerthings here on Wattpad. The idea was theirs but I have come up with all of the concepts, themes etc This will be a multiparter just to be able to give the story and idea justice hope you enjoy! Here's to part 1

Steamy / slightly graphic / descriptive
Nick and Charlie are 18+ in this as they were in "baby its cold outside."
Much like Baby, it's cold outside content warnings, etc, apply! - start's from Nick's POV I have seen a few people comment they enjoyed baby its cold outside and it gave them butterflies so that gave me the confidence to do more of a similar theme! - I am nervous to post this so please be kind

Charlie

"Where are you going now?" Mum yelled, following me upstairs. It was Saturday evening, and we had family over. I had come home for reading week from university as a surprise for my family, but it had turned out to be a shitty mistake. Mum and I ended up in a rip-roaring argument about god knows what. At this point, we were just screaming at each other.

"I'm going to Nick's to get some peace," I told her as calmly as I possibly could, though I knew my voice was shaking. I shoved some clothes in my overnight bag and stalked back towards my bedroom door to the front of the house.

"We haven't finished this conversation, Charles," she told me angrily. I turned on my heel, finally facing her. "This wasn't a conversation; this was a screaming match. I talked, and you yelled - as always," I informed her as I pulled on my shoes. "Call me when you've lost a head or two," I said, slamming the door behind me.

It was a cold, damp Saturday evening, and I had forgotten my coat. A few streetlights illuminated the way, but that was about it. My feet pounded the pavement, and the raindrops that I had felt earlier during my walk into town were now getting heavier. However, I couldn't care less, and I hardly even noticed the ten-minute walk to get to Nick's family home. It felt more like 10 seconds given the speed and pace at which I was walking.

Suddenly, I found myself banging so hard on Nick's front door that Nellie, their dog, started barking and jumping up at the door. This made me stop, realizing my mistake. Moments later, the door opens slowly, and Nick stands in the doorway. He's wearing one of his classically oversized jumpers (that I would've traditionally stolen), a pair of grey joggers, and his glasses. There's a large ink smudge of blue pen on his left cheek, I had no idea what he'd been doing because he was already finished with university.

"Charlie?! Are you okay? Come in, you're drenched," he says, almost shocked, pulling me in by the shoulders and closing the door. "Had a fight with Mum again. I couldn't be in that house anymore. I know I should've texted," I admit, tears threatening to spill. "Don't be stupid! Come on, let's get you warm. Have you had dinner yet?" Nick asks, wrapping me in a hug. I silently shake my head. "We were just about to eat, and then everything exploded," I admit.

"Say no more, Mum's just finished making a curry before she goes out for some work drinks, and there's enough to feed a small army," Nick says. As he guides me into the kitchen, I start telling him about all the pointless dramas that happened this evening and the final petty argument we got into before dinner. I explained how we were meant to have pizza oven pizza but ended up with me being soaking wet outside his front door.

"Mum, put the kettle on, please!" Nick announces as we walk through the kitchen door. Sarah turns around, her kind smile quickly disappearing. "An extra one for tea tonight, then?" she says without a second thought, pulling out another place setting. "Thanks," I say to both of them, already feeling my eyes dry. "Don't worry, Charlie. I've made enough to feed the entirety of the south!" Sarah says, pulling out another plate from the cupboard.

"So, Charlie, how's uni?" Sarah asks as we eat. She had always been great with distraction methods, especially during meal times, which could be tricky for me. But Sarah's Nelson's chicken curry was hard to beat. "Charlie's just been elected LGBTQ+ society president for next year," Nick announces proudly. "Do I get to tell anyone anything by myself, anyone?" I giggle lightly, playfully slapping his shoulder.
