Happy Place

They say when one has a happy place, a shelter so strong the walls can't be torn down, it's always the place to go. The place to go when darkness tries to seep itself deep into the fragile cracks meeting in your life.
It could be people, could be words, or the all too familiar heavy set workload from a dreaded place outside the mind. It could be easy to understand just too much for a human to withstand in much too little time.
When the world becomes bitter and TV is no longer enjoyable because of all the controversy surrounding media and politics, where one should go all depends on who that one could be.
Music truly does envelop the senses and brings light to topics one would never have guessed. Or maybe the lover. The lover you had to fight for and now you are so close that you hold a fear of them dwindling.
When all becomes too much I know I can truly trust the enclosure of my earphones that fight for my freedom. Either the noises and the screaming become too loud or my mind simply just can't settle down, at least long enough for me to truly concentrate.
It's due Monday but I can't get it to you until Tuesday if I want to make the paper worth all effort and time. Many people understand the struggle of forgetting why and how and just exactly where. But despite all groups having this in common they divide amongst the many when coping comes into play.
I stand with the music dancing along the ocean while the dolphins swim at bay. Imagining a world not so dark and dreary and just maybe, Hagrid will come to take me away. Maybe I'll form a quirk or learn some new finishing move on the hottest street fighter in town. I become so popular that the cruel blonds nor King Neptune can even outshine me.
In the end, the plug has been pulled and all the water drains, and once again you are left in the world you escaped. No, it's not all bad and there are good sides to living in such a place. But sometimes, an escape is really all one needs into their happy place.
