'Who? What?'
Was the first thing that came to mind, nobody just goes around calling people their child after all.
Upon further inspection, Cale noticed that the room he was pitch black, no light of any source was seen.
"Who are you?"
A simple question, but could be replied with by many different answers.
"Who am I?"
"Yes you"
"The God of Death"
"The god of what-"
"The God of Death"
"Oh Damn, I must be hearing things..."
Cale rubbed his ears to make sure he heard correctly.
"Mind repeating?"
A sigh could be heard from the other individual.
"The God of Death, my child"
"Are you sure? Also, why do you call me 'my child'?"
"Wha- Yes, I'm sure, I know what I am, and because I want to"
" Wow... Okay. So what do you want"
"Huuu... I have been ordered to give you a few gifts."
"Who orders a god around?"
"The supreme deities, my child"
"Alright... what are these 'gifts'?"
Cale crossed his arms, seemingly irritated.
"Abilities"
"Are they free?"
"Mmm... I guess?"
"What do you mean 'I guess'?"
"I mean what I mean, anyways"
The GoD held out both of his hands, bright orbs began appearing, allowing Cale to see the God's face, though it was covered, or much rather, blurred.
"Well you see here, there are a lot to choose from!"
"You can pick any of them, there are consequences if you pick too many though.."
"Mm.."
There sure was quite the amount, but what caught his eye, was a bright shade of red.
"What does that one do?"
Cale pointed to the orb that attracted his attention.
"Ah.. Well that allows one to summon a phoenix, whatever your command is, it'll follow it."
'Oh, I could get it to protect Basen'
The thought passed by, but then people might begin to target Basen if they knew there was a phoenix protecting him, so that was crossed off.
