Aria was fighting with Loki and Steve as hard as she could. She didn't want to hurt either of them, but she had to get Loki away from Steve, so she could get him inside the house, she had to get this ritual started and finished.

Steve wasn't trying hard enough, he too found he couldn't hurt Aria.

Loki swung his blade around, catching Aria in the side of the face, about to do the same with the other one, but she quickly grabbed it, pulling it free from his hand. Movement to her right caught her attention.

She wasn't even sure how it happened, she doesn't even remember it happening.

But the gasp from him, made her stop in her tracks, as she was about to lift her foot and kick Loki out the way.

Aria slowly turned her head, finding Steve standing there, holding the dagger that she had made for Loki, in his side. He looked surprised that it was there. Blood seeping from it, through his fingers.

Her heart almost stopped as she watched Steve slowly dropping to his knees, his eyes looking heavy, like he was dying.

"Aria" Steve breathed, looking up at her.

Tears began pooling in her eyes, as he fell to the ground. She stood there for a few moments, shaking her head at him, like she wasnt believing this was happening.

"Rogers" Loki quickly said, rushing over to him.

Thor and Strange had come from nowhere, standing there looking down at him.

"This wasnt how it was suppose to go Loki" Thor bellowed.

Loki ignored his brother, reaching in for a pulse.

The tears started trickling down Arias face, her breathing was shallow, her heart was hammering as she watch Loki looking up at her, shaking his head.

"No" She quietly said. "No, he cant"

Next thing she knew, Aria was down beside Steve, turning him over, the blade now removed from his side, the blood in a circle on his side. She quickly used the power she had to stop the bleeding, healing the wound.

"Steve" She whispered, placing her hand on his cheek. "Wake up"

Loki got to his feet, stepping back from them, indicating for Strange and Thor to do the same.

"Child, walk away from him. There is nothing you can do" A voice in her head said.

"Hes dead" She quickly said. "I killed him"

"And there is nothing you can do. We have to get Loki, remember"

Aria was shaking her head, staring at Steves face. The tears running down her cheeks.

"I'm so, sorry Steve" She started sobbing. "I never meant for this to happen. You mean everything to me. I would never..Please, come back to me"

Aria brought her head over to Steves head, placing her forehead against his, the tears trickling down on his. She lightly kissed him.

"I love you" She whispered. "I love you more than anything in this world, and I never got to tell you that"

A bright red flash came from Aria, sending her flying backwards. She was lying on the ground, looking up at the sky, feeling like a crushing weight was leaving her body.

Loki watched it leave her chest. He knew he had to follow this soul, then destroy the book it would go back to.

"Is that what I think it is?" Strange asked, above the loud noise.

The mist rushed passed the both of them, heading into the house once more. Loki ran in after it, with Strange behind him. He had the potion bottle his mother gave him. And knew the words he had to say. The moment the mist had gone into the book, he threw the bottle at it, seeing it hissing and bubbling like it was acid on metal.
