the last buzzer of the game was over, neo academy won 61 - 52. excitement and cheers were heard all over the gymnasium. the cheerios were celebrating by waving their pom poms and dancing.
"that was a crazy turn of events" sana said laughing with chaewon while going down the bleachers.
chaewon playfully shrugged, "i guess my little dance worked."
chaewon looked behind sana and saw jeno walking towards them, "besides the dance, look who's walking here" she had a sly smirk on her face, she saw how pink sana was once she looked back.
sana turned her head as fast as she could, "you've got to be kidding me" she mouthed to her friend.
"hey," jeno had walked up to them, he had a smile on his face but was mostly looking at sana.
jeno was about two heads taller than sana. he had jet-black hair that was disheveled after the game, his Jersey was filled with sweat, or it was water. his features fit perfectly on his face. you could tell that he had been playing hard by the way he looked. honestly, if chaewon hadn't known jeno, she would have put him in her journal.
"oh yeah-jaemin is looking for you, he's outside," jeno said pointing to the back of him.
chaewon nodded to jeno and winked at her friend before heading outside. she was a few feet from heading outside before someone stopped her.
"hey, long time no see," a boy said to chaewon, grabbing her attention.
chaewon looked up to see jinyoung, it had been so long without seeing her old friend.
"oh hey," chaewon said with a smile, "how have you been-i haven't seen you in a long time."
the boy with black hair chuckled, "yeah, it's been a minute," jinyoung rubbed the back of his neck.
"i just have to tell you something- I mean if you want me to you can," jinyoung nervously asked.
chaewon's moth formed an 'o', "I mean- sure I have to meet jaemin in a bit"
the bambi-eyed girl looked up to jinyoung, her full attention on the boy, "look chaewon, since I'm being a little wimp or whatever, I just want to warn you about jaemin. he's no good-you shouldn't be seeing him"
chaewon was taken back from jinyoung's random mention. She could see the seriousness in his voice and his eyes, he averted his eyes to both of the girl's eyes, "jinyoung wha-"
"chaewon, he's been seeing daeun behind your back, i-i'm not trying to ruin your relationship or something like that bu-"
chaewon had to take a deep breath to calm her anger at jinyoung. I mean how could he say these things, really? if jaemin was seeing daeun again this whole thing would have been over.
"what? jinyoung, there's no way he could be doing that," the girl placed her hands on his shoulder looking straight up at him, "i would have been knowing about all of this." chaewon placed her hands on her side again before giving him an awkward smile and waving goodbye to the boy as she sighed.
