35- I'm over it

"he's just so- i don't know how to explain it- he's so sweet and kind, unlike yours..." sana said talking about jeno while walking down the halls. she patted chaewon on her shoulder, "didn't mean to mention him."

chaewon playfully rolled her eyes, "sana, I'm sorry to say but he doesn't affect me anymore." sana looked at her with a doubtful face. 

the duo reached their lockers shoving their books down their backpacks. "can't you believe wayv is getting a comeback this month!" sana said her backpack was already on her and holding her phone in excitement. 

"no way, ou know what that means..." 

"a sleepover!" they said in unison. 

"i was thinking we sh-" sana was interrupted by jaemin who just walked into our conversation. 

jaemin awkwardly smiled at the chaewon, "look chae, we need to speak." 

chaewon looked at jaemin, even though her heart was thumping she managed to pull off the bored face. "we have nothing to talk about." she walked past him and for a moment her and sana thought they had gotten away from jaemin until she felt her wrist being grabbed. 

"i'm just gonna go..." sana said pointing to the back of her and heading out of the school building. 

"ow sana wait!-what th- jaemin I told you I don't want to talk." 

"chae, please we need to talk about us." he said pleading for her to give in with a hint of anger coming from his voice. 

chaewon rolled her eyes, but it was slightly unnoticeable, "jaemin, I told you that I don't want to talk right now. look, sana is waiting for me righ now." she said taking jaemin's grip off her wrists.

"chaewon, I don't understand why you're acting like a suck-up" jaemin scoffed. 

chaewon stopped in her tracks and turned around to face jaemin, "i'm the one acting like a 'suck-up'?" she said getting closer to jaemin.

"your not even telling me what I did wrong so I can fix it. how do you think I'm supposed to act?" he said, his eyes looked like they were flames. the anger in his eyes were so visible.

chaewon let out a sardonic scoff, "last time I check, I wasn't the one who made people feel pathetic, " she said pointing to herself.

jaemin crossed his arms, "what are you even talking about?" 

chaewon let out a frustrated sigh, "jaemin, you cheated on me with hyejin." she said looking into jaemin's eyes. at this moment she did feel weak and pathetic, "you kissed her behind my back," she said quietly. 

jaemin uncrossed his arms, "look chae, I'm sorry for what I did," he said averting his eyes from the floor from time to time, "I didn't know it would hurt your feelings like this."

"you're right, I don't know why it hurts me so much," she said sorrowfully while looking down at the floor, "I mean we're not even together." 

jaemin stared at chaewon, looking at all her features, understanding her emotions but not enough. 

"jaemin," she said looking up at him with watery eyes, "let's end this." 

"what? what do you mean?" 

"you heard me, let's end this. i'm done with getting my feelings played by you." 

jaemin was looking at the girl with dubiety, "what are you talking about?" he asked silently.

chaewon sarcastically laughed, "i can't believe I'm saying this" she mumbled to herself before connecting her eyes with jaemin, "jaemin, I had feelings for you for quite some time, but I'm done with this feeling of unworthiness and I'm done with this stupid thing your using me for. I'm so done with it." jaemin stared at her watery eyes until tears came running down her cheek.

"chae-"

"i wanted my first kiss to be a true love's kiss, not a fake one."

he stared at the girl, scanning the features on her face. he was about to say something, but he hesitated.

"i'm so done with it, just find another girl to do it jaemin." chaewon walked off from the boy's view. jaemin called her name a few times before giving up. he sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

chaewon walked outside with tears running down her red cheeks. sana's smile on her face faded.

"woonie, what happened?" she said while wiping tears from chae's cheeks. she didn't answer the question and instead went to hug sana for comfort. 

sana was taken aback for a second before hugging her back trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible.
