Chapter 11: blind date

3rd POV:

"Thanks for doing this Deku! It's just.. I feel bad for Rika... I'm sure she wasn't expecting this to happen at all."
Uraraka said. Uraraka was currently walking to their local café with Izuku. It was after class and
Uraraka was supposed to be on a date with her new boyfriend, Iida. It was their four week anniversary today. But Iida's cousin was visiting for the week, and since she is new to the area Iida was given the responsibility to show her around.

Uraraka had the bright idea to set her up on a blind date so they all could have a double date, and without realizing it she planned the whole day but she never had someone to actually go out with Rika in the first place.

This is where her best friend comes in handy. Izuku. They never got any homework assigned for after class, which meant Izuku was free, he had no reason to turn down a free meal.

Which brings us to now.
"I'm just happy I can help, but I don't want to lead her on or anything. What if I hurt her feelings! This isn't an actual date right? What if she thinks it is!" Izuku said then started freaking out, Uraraka giggled, she placed a hand on his shoulder, "don't worry, I'm sure she won't even like you, your just here to entertain her... mostly. Besides, you're probably nothing like the other guys where she comes from." Uraraka comforted, Izuku let out a sigh of relief, "thanks Ura." He smiled. They turned the corner being greeted by Iida standing outside the café,

"Good evening Ochako, you look lovely as ever." Iida complemented his girlfriend, Uraraka blushed, "thank you!" Uraraka embraced Iida tightly.

She then pulled away looking around, "so where is your cousin?" She asked,
"She went in to grab us a booth." Iida explained, he then led the two friends inside, Izuku noticed a a girl with long black hair with neatly trimmed bangs sitting in a booth alone. She was nicely dressed in a white dress that sat just above her knees, and a light blue cropped sweater that was tide together by ribbon into a bow.

They all sat down, Iida and Uraraka sitting on one side, and Rika and Izuku sitting on the other,

"Hello, Rika! It's nice to finally meet you." Uraraka greeted the girl sitting diagonally from her, "Rika, this is Izuku Midoriya, I'm sure you too would have a lot in common." Iida introduced , Izuku smiled towards the black haired girl, "It's nice to meet you Iida, please call me Deku." Rika returned the smile "please, call me Rika.".

They all sat there awkwardly for a few minutes, Izuku barely knew Iida, now he has to get to know his cousin.
'I hate blind dates..' Izuku thought,

"So Rika, are you also in college to take on the family tradition as becoming part of the board?" Uraraka asked, Iida was grateful someone had spoken up, things we're getting weird.

"Yes." Rika replied, "what board?" Izuku question, Uraraka perked up, "That's right! Izuku, did you know that the Iida's have a hospital? They have a whole board full of them! Tanya and Rika are studying general surgery to be ready when their family adds them to the board!" Uraraka said, "but only the best of us Iidas are on the board. I'm gonna master general surgery before even thinking about joining the board." Rika added, Iida chuckled, "but we're only second year residents, so we still have a long way to go." Izuku was amazed at this news. "Wow, I mean I had my suspicions but I didn't know you guys were actually the Iida's."
Izuku added, "oh that's right, You guys might run into each other on the job, Izuku is in school to become a paramedic like me!" Uraraka said excitedly.

Rika turned her attention to the greenette, "so your a paramedic? That must be a lot of studying, how do you manage your time?" Izuku looked at her, "actually I'm doing quite well, if I'm not working I'm studying. So I tend to finish my work a lot quicker so I can take extra shifts." Rika nodded.
