Chapter 23: snow day

3rd POV:

Izuku woke up to a very happy toddler jumping on his bed, she looked ecstatic though Izuku was still half asleep he couldn't process any of the joyful blabbering made by the toddler.

As soon as his eyes adjusted to the natural light peering through his open window the toddler had jumped on his lap with a wide smile. "G'morning, Sophie. What are you doing up so early?" Izuku asked peering at his alarm clock that read 8:30am.

"It's still Snowing, Deku!" Sophie cheered, gently patting the males arm. Izuku smiled gently moving some of the girls messy curls out of her face. "Really? Well did you tell your dad?" Izuku ask sitting up, Sophie nodded proudly, "Yup! Daddy's making breakfast right now!" Sophie cheered crawling off the males lap and slid off of his bed. Izuku sighed with a slight groan, "Then why'd you have to wake me up too?"

Sophie crossed her arms all bossy like, "Because- because Daddy, told me to! We eat breakfast." Sophie stated before walking away. Izuku shook his head at her demeanour humoured by it. He then followed after her down the hall towards the kitchen where a tall blonde stood at a stove in an apron that said 'Hi hungry, I'm dad'. A old birthday gift courtesy of Sero. Izuku enjoyed hearing that story.

"Morning sleeping beauty." Katsuki said with a smirk, side eyeing the greenette who was still in his unkempt pjs and his messy curls all over the place.

"It's too early for this.." Izuku complained to himself followed by a groan. Sophie tried crawling onto a stool but failed miserably, she pouted with a few small whines as she continued to try, Izuku chuckled at the toddler's attempts and gave in to helping her by picking her up from behind and plopping her onto the stool, Izuku seated himself next to her.

Sophie took in a sharp inwarded breath seeing what her father was making, "Man Cakes!" She shrieked happily, Izuku looked at Katsuki's humoured expression confused, "Man Cakes?.." Izuku repeated, Katsuki took in a breath knowing he had to explain, "Their actually 'Snowman Cakes', it's just a few small pancakes in the shape of a snowman with whipped cream on top, But Sophie likes to call them 'Man Cakes'."

Izuku smiled warmly, "That sounds delicious" Sophie turned to the male nodding excitedly, "Mhm! Daddy makes the best!" Izuku ruffled her blonde curls sillily, "I don't doubt it."

A few minutes later Katsuki had finished cooking, he made Sophie a plate and placed it in front of her then turned back to grab his and Izuku's plates then walking to sit on the other side of Sophie, placing both plates in front of him, sliding one over to the freckled male.

Izuku took a bite and hummed in joy, "this is great, Bakugou. I'm glad Sophie woke me up for this." Izuku complemented going in for another bite.

"I wasn't gonna let you sleep any longer or else you'll start to screw up your sleeping schedule." Katsuki stated taking a fork full as well.

A crooked smile form on Izuku's face, "I guess I did stay up a little later then usual..." Izuku mumbled, his Mouth full, Sophie turned to katsuki with a frown, "How come Deku stays past his sleepy time, Daddy? Is he working too?" Sophie questioned.

Katsuki lifted his right arm up, wrapping it around the toddlers small frame, he rubbed her arm soothingly, "Nah, Soph. Deku's just got a lot of school work. Even though it's his brake and he should be doing pretty much anything else but school work during his brake." Katsuki explained directing that last part to Izuku who had a sarcastic expression on his face.

Sophie turned to Izuku not pleased with what she heard. "Bad. You can't play when your- your not sleeping at night." Sophie lectured, "But don't worry, Daddy could tuck you in like he does for me!" Sophie assured happily, this caused katsuki to choke on his pancakes as Izuku held back his laughter, "N-No Soph, it's okay!" Izuku stuttered out not wanting to burst into a fit of laughter, Katsuki retracted his arm from around his daughter to hit his chest so he could breath again, "Sophie! I can't do that!" Katsuki lectured causing Sophie to frown, "But why? Dekus our friend." Katsuki was at a loss for words. How could he explain this in terms a three year old would understand?
