Paisley's POV

As I was walking, I felt the tears running down my face. I don't know what I did to deserve this kind of treatment. I treated everyone with kind and respect like I was taught to and they taken it for granted.

I sniffled.

"Paisley?" I heard my name being called from behind me. I quickly wipe my tears away and turn my head and was surprised to see Elijah walking towards me. I haven't talked to him since the small argument with my ex months ago.

"Hey Paisley." He flashed me a smile. "It's been a while since we talked. How are ya?"

I force a smile on my face. "Hey Elijah. I'm doing. . .good. Thank you for asking. How about you?" I said.

He shrugs. "I've been kickin' it' but let's not talk about me. Let's talk about you." He says, crossing his arms and looking me in the eyes.

I look at me confused. "Why?"

"Because you're standing here with bloodshot eyes and to me it looks like you've been crying." He tilted his head to the side observing me.

I look away from his stare. "I-It's nothing. You shouldn't care about what's going on with me.."

I heard him sigh and I lift my head and look at me again.

"Paisley look, I know we haven't been close but that doesn't mean we can't talk. If you want someone to rant to I'm here. Really." He said and it sounds genuine but I am unsure.

"But what about Khalil? I don't think he'll like his friends talking with his ex." I question. I have a lot on my plate right now and I don't want to be in a center of drama nor the time to deal with it.

Elijah sucked his teeth and waved as if he's dismissing someone. "I don't give a damn about his punk ass. I do want I want to do. If I want to be friends with you, then I will."

I smile a little.

"So why were you crying?" He asked.

I shook my head. "I don't want to talk about it here."

"Okay." He nod his head. Then he begins walking towards me. "Hand me your phone." He said.

I gave him a weird look.

"Why?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes. "So I can put my number in it." He stated.

I was a little hesitant but give in and handed him my phone. He add his number and save it in my phone before handing it back to me.

"Call me whenever you want to talk. Okay?" He says, looking into my eyes. I'm not gonna lie, him staring at me gave me chills. Now thinking about it, I really didn't notice how good he look today.

He now has dreads, wore a plain black shirt and a gold chain hanging around his neck, black jeans with a gold gucci belt hanging a little below his waist showing his gray briefs and wore a pair of air force ones.

Wait, why am I checking a another guy out? What's wrong with me?

I gulped and nodded my head. "O-okay."

He smiled showing his silver grills. "I'll be waiting for you." He winked at me, turn around, and walk away.

I was left in shock and confused of what just happened. Did he just winked at me?

I shook my head. I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean about by it.

Then the bell ringed signaling students to their next class and I start walking to mine.
