Sky high buildings sit against a navy sky. Lights twinkle and the ocean has a sound of it's own at this point. A long, narrow dock leads over the water, the moon a silver reflection against the soft waves.

It's...breathtaking.

Taking the lead, gaping at the scene in front of me, I can't help but wonder how Micah found such a beautiful place, and how had I never come across it.

"It's a pretty sweet view, huh?" Micah's deep voice rumbles behind me.

I turn around to see a small smile tugging one corner of his mouth.

"It's beautiful. How did you find it?" I ask as I follow Micah to the end of the dock, taking a seat beside him.

Sucking in a deep breath, he releases it slowly as if to say he doesn't know where to start, instead of preparing myself for his answer I take the chance to revel in the fact that I have no idea how this happened - how me, Freya Costella, book lover and athletic tutor, ended up here with the beloved quarterback of FIU - it's surreal, and also a little crazy.

"Would you believe me if I told you I found it while on a run?" Micah says through a nervous chuckle, lifting off his backwards sitting cap and replacing it a second later.

I lift a brow. "Did you find it running?"

Another chuckle, only this time he looks away and over the ocean. "I mean, I didn't not find it running..."

I leave it at that, and stick a reminder note in my mind to bring it up again at a later day.

"Okay, skipping forward, you want to tell me why you brought me here or am I just supposed to sit here and wait for you to push me in the water after you've tied a cinderblock to my back?"

Micah's baby blue eyes slice to mine. A dark brow raises. The corner of his mouth lifts. Then he shakes his head with a laugh. "What kinda shit do you watch, Teach?"

Dismissing his comment, I ask again, only this time the QB leans to the side and pulls a folded up piece of paper out of his back pocket, looks at it for a moment before handing it over.

"What's this?" I unfold the paper to see a neatly typed up document.

Micah tips his head towards it. "The contract you requested. Everything you wanted down on paper, all you have to do is sign it and enjoy the ride, Little Miss."

I scan the paper, and what do you know; every things there, plus a few extras Micah obviously added.
