a/n: I usually don't take requests, but a lot of you asked for a part 2, so I thought why not 😅
I'm also sorry this took so long, but I hope it was worth the wait :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wanda hasn't been doing too well the past few weeks. You tried your best to be there for her, but sometimes she would push you away. You just tried to not take it personally and give her the space she needed.You haven't been doing much better. You didn't mind having to take care of Wanda, you would do anything for her, but you were starting to put her needs before your own.
You would either make or order food for her and made sure she ate at least some of it, but you rarely found yourself eating.
You weren't sleeping very well either, you couldn't. Nights, when Wanda would come into your room in the middle of the night to sleep in your bed, were actually the hardest. You lay awake with her in your arms, preferring to bask in the closeness that you longed for, even if it wasn't in the exact way you wanted it. Your thoughts then kept you from falling asleep. You would often spiral and let your thoughts consume you, but somehow, right before they could fully take over, Wanda would either move in her sleep or lightly snore, bringing you back to reality, this bittersweet reality.
Every once in a while, your mind drifted back to that night right after the battle.
You knew you couldn't leave Wanda, but that's all you wanted to do. It was selfish of you and you never wanted to hurt her, but she had been hurting you all this time without even realizing it.
Everyone knew she was hurting. No one knew you were hurting. It just didn't seem fair.
It was now just over a month after the incident and you found yourself starting to pack some of your stuff into a duffel bag. You couldn't be here in the compound any longer. It was draining you. She was draining you. You loved her too much and you needed to let her go.
You weren't sure where you were going to stay, but you thought that anywhere that wasn't here was a better option.
You didn't bother to tell the others you were leaving. You figured you'd send a message to Fury from a burner phone so at least he wouldn't think you were dead and could relay whatever you decide to send him to the rest of the team.
It was 3:30 AM. No one was awake, you were sure of it. You've been awake at this hour too often to know that you'd be the only one out and about within the compound.
You carefully zipped up the bag and slung it over your shoulder. It was quite heavy but nothing you couldn't carry.
You opened the door to your room to leave, but you were met with a figure standing right outside your door.
Shit.
"Y/n..." the all too familiar voice trailed off when its source noticed your bag. "Where are you going?" the voice asked quietly.
"Out," you responded simply, not wanting this conversation to be any longer than it needed to be. You tried to push past her but she blocked you with her hand.
"No. You're not leaving me, y/n. I'm not losing you too." You could hear her voice break ever so slightly and could sense the tears forming in her eyes.
"I can't stay here, Wanda."
"Why not?"
You finally looked at her. You looked into her glossy green eyes, the ones you fell in love with all those years ago.
"Because I love you," you said in your head, forgetting for a moment that she could hear your thoughts.
You just shook your head and tried once more to get past her but to no avail. You looked up at her again.
