Chapter 47

Patricia blinked, regaining consciousness. She looked around to realize that she was standing on the pavement surrounded by cars.

Then she noticed something strange, so she saw herself.

She had leather gloves. And her dress had been replaced by a red suit that she recognized immediately: the red pieces, the dark blue lycra, even the skull on her chest... and the hood. Oh, she had a braid instead of her hairstyle and brown leather boots.

Her armor... It was real!

But she did not have time to jump with emotion.

"Patricia Lizarde" one of those soldiers held her from behind and she struggled to free herself "you will come with us."

"Noooo!" Out of reflex, she put her hand to her waist, where her Vampire Killer should be sheathed... but apparently it wasn't included in the suit.

"Do not resist" two other guards approached "from what we have witnessed, you have already been marked by the shadows, but you still have time to be released."

"No matter how much you resist; your destiny is on the side of Light."

"I don't think so" Pinky and Fenix took form near them and raised their weapons.

"No more children raised under the hypocrisy of your Brotherhood" a fan of flaming feathers spread out in Fenix's hands.

"No more families separated by your petty manipulation" Pinky carried a litmus-pink ice spear, with an intricate design and a strange coiled tip.

It was the first time she had heard their voices so serious.

"Ha!" laughed the one who had Patricia trapped "and you, monstrosities, who are you to declare such blasphemies?"

"You are not even worth our time" several of those goblins approached, making that horrible noise "deal with them, better."

Were they making way for the creatures so they could escape with her? As if they were allied with those things?

Patricia's stomach twisted as those suspicious guys dragged her away from her friends.

"My, my" Pinky had her eyes blank "I feel offended."

"You kidding?" Fenix did the same "they have underestimated us for free, I'm angry."

"Yep, we're angry."

"Shall we take advantage of the fact that we're angry to bust these bugs and go for Patty quickly?"

" That's a good idea."

"Or we could skip the bugs and go for Patty and then pop them..."

"But we would endanger her if we fight afterward, even if she has that Mini-Gabriel Patriarch Belmont to' cute armor..."

"Yes, it's cute."

"It came out of nowhere and such..."

"Things that only happen in Castlevania City."

"Indeed. The thing is... bugs first?"

"Bugs first, angry version."

"Come on, hit it."

With a flick of her spear, the goblins froze in the act of attacking them, and with a flick of the fan, they burned to ashes.

"But you know what I'm telling you, they keep bothering me when they underestimate us" Pinky commented, repeating the act "but I don't think it's a bad thing, you know."

"Yes, I know" Fenix answered casually, waving the fan with the same result "but it sucks the same, you know?"

"Hey, no swearing in front of the girl."
