Chapter 2. Nervous feelings

Gael's Pov

I watched as Danielle walked towards a customer and placed a tray of drinks on the table, she bent down to pick up the corkscrew when I noticed that the zip of her gown is loosening and it will tear anytime soon.

I immediately grabbed a table cloth and I ran to her direction and covered her back.

She stood up holding the table cloth to her back and she stared at me with relief in her eyes.

She gave the corkscrew to the customer and we left together, we got to the front of the changing room and she hugged me.

"Thank you so much Gael, if not for you, i would have been humiliated". She said and she pulled away

And tears fell from her eyes

"Don't cry Dani, I'll do anything for you". I replied as i wiped her tears.

She smiled at me and she walked away to get changed, I went back to the bar area to continue serving drinks

Then someone tapped my back and I turned to see Kara.

We walked towards the counter

"I saw when you saved Dani and I'm happy you saved her from humiliation but I think there's more to it". Kara said and she winked at me

"What do mean? You are always confusing me and sometimes I think you belong in the asylum". I replied and I shook my head

"Don't say that Gael...I know you are in love with her and you don't want to admit it". Kara replied and she smacked my hand

"Who's Gael in love with?". Dani asked from behind and I and Kara stared at each other with fear in our eyes.

We turned to face her

Then Kara spoke. "You have not met her because Gael has never introduced her to you".

"Gael why have you not introduced me to her? I would love to meet her". Dani replied

"I will introduce her to you soon". I said with nervousness

She nodded with a smile.

"Let's go home Dani, it's late". I said

"Not yet, I need a side job". She replied and she licked her lips as she thought of an idea.

I stared at her lips as she licked it, I found that action very cute and I kept staring.

Kara jabbed my elbow and I looked in her direction and she winked at me, I rolled my eyes.

"Gael, what if I work in the club with you as a waiter". She asked

"No Dani, that's risky, there are a lot of disgusting men". I replied and I folded my arms

"Ok Gael but what if I work backstage as a stylist for the club dancers". She replied with a sparkle in her eyes.

"That's a good idea Dani". Kara cut in

"Fine, I'll ask my boss if you could resume tonight". I replied and she held my hands and jumped up in excitement.

I couldn't help but smile at her gesture.

We bade Kara goodbye and we entered my motorcycle and I headed to the club.

I parked my motorcycle in the car park.

"We are here, let's just go inside through the back door". I replied

She nodded

Suddenly her phone rang.

"I'll be back Gael, I'll just go to that corner to take this call". She said and I nodded.

I waited for Dani and I suddenly heard a whine.

I walked towards the direction of the noise and I looked through the side mirror of a car and I saw a man holding a lady's waist forcefully.

I sneaked behind the man and I jabbed the man's neck with my elbow and he fell unconscious.

I stared at the lady and she looked so terrified.

I walked towards her and I knelt down close to her. I noticed she wore a shiny gown.

She must be a new dancer at the club, I thought inwardly.

Suddenly she hugged me and she sobbed profusely. I consoled her and she stopped crying and she pulled away from me

"Thanks for saving me sir, this man was touching me wrongly". She said and she stood up.

I also stood up and I replied. ". It's ok and please call me Gael".

"Oh ok, I'm Mia". She said and smiled and we shook hands

She was really a very beautiful lady with long black curly hair, black eyes, thin lips and she had good body shape like a model.

"Do you work here ". She asked as we walked towards my motorcycle

"Yeah I do...are you a new dancer at the club?". I asked

"Yes...I have a performance tonight but we need an urgent stylist". She replied with a smile

"Ok, I have a friend with me that wants to apply for the job of a stylist here". I replied and I moved my head around to search for Danielle.

I saw her walking in our direction.

"Dani, come here". I called out

She came closer

"Is she the girl you and Kara were talking about?". Sha asked with amusement in her eyes.

My face shrunk with embarrassment

"What's she talking about". Mia asked and she stared at me looking confused.

"Nothing, she's mistaken". I replied and I stared at Dani intently and she kept quiet

Mia nodded and she walked towards Dani

"Hi, I'm Mia". She said as she shook Danielle's hand

"I'm Danielle but you can call me Dani". She replied with a smile

They smiled at each other and we all went inside the club

I informed the boss about Dani and she was hired.

As we walked out of the boss office. She squealed happily

"Thanks Gael, you're the best ". She said and she hugged me

After some minutes, she pulled away. I smiled at her and she smiled back

"You look cute when you are smiling". I said as I stared at her

"What did you say". She asked me and I snapped out from my gaze

"Ehm nothing. I only said that you should go and start your work". I replied with nervousness and she nodded and walked away.

I'm glad she didn't hear me, I thought inwardly.
