Lilly:

"What?" Jimin's face goes blank as I bite my lip again. I automatically said no to following him to Korea, but another part of me is screaming: Go! Go to him! Be a housewife! Fuck all of your dreams, who cares? You've got Park Jimin as your man! Go. To. Him!

"I mean... I can't pack my things and go," Once again, anger comes to my aid, "We don't know each other well enough. My parents wouldn't approve, and I go to school. I love my school."

Jimin looks down at his food. His expression is blank, but his jaw is tense. Either I just embarrassed him, or he didn't mean to say it.

"Jimin?" I mumble, slowly bringing my hands to his. He pulls away slightly, his knuckles turning white from the pressure.

"I..." Jimin swallows, averting his eyes. My chest clenches painfully. GO. WITH. HIM!

"Jimin let's just keep in contact, and maybe you can come back to Australia after your tour, huh?" Jimin looks up at me, the intensity swallowing me whole. I gulp.

"I understand," He mumbles, looking down again.

"I..." I sigh, "I want to be a producer. I want to help singers make music. I don't want to be a trophy wife. I can't accomplish my dreams in your shadow,"

Jimin glances up at me, the same intensity still there.

"It's fine. I understand, Lilly," Jimin smiles slightly before taking a deep breath. As soon as he opens his eyes, he plasters a smile on his face.

"Let's go, we should get to bed early," He stands, startling me. Why is he suddenly scaring me like this? This is a cute, adorable man who is a hopeless romantic. Why has this conversation changed everything so quickly? It's almost like he's adopted his stage persona to cope with the rejection.

Jimin holds his hand out, waiting for me to take it. I flush dark pink, unsure whether I should.

How much do I like this man?

Apparently, I thought too much. Jimin's hand falls sadly, his eyes glistening slightly.

"Come on," He mumbles gruffly.

After a brief conversation with the waitresses, we head home, the entire ride silent as we become lost in our thoughts.

. . . . .

A few days later:

Come on, Jimin, pick up the phone.

The phone continues to ring.

Please answer this time.

Jimin hasn't been responding to my texts since he left me outside the hotel.

Jimin... please...

"Hello?" A gruff voice answers.

"Jimin?" I squeal slightly. The voice stays silent for a moment.

"Hey, Lilly,"

"Jimin! Why haven't you been responding to my texts? I've been so worried!"

"Sorry. I had to talk it out with Namjoon. I needed advice," Jimin mumbles.
