Jimin:
What have I done? What have I done?
Jimin clutches and pulls his hair painfully, tears falling hot and fast down his face.
It's almost 2 am and he has practice tomorrow, but he can't sleep. Whenever he closes his eyes, he recalls her terrified face. Those wide eyes, her heaving chest, her hands held up to protect herself. How did he miss the signs? How did he not notice she really wasn't interested? Was it really that hard for him to look past his love for her?
He recalls their messages, their cute date and late-night calls. The number of times he messed up during the world tour because he was either thinking about her or because he was so tired from staying up talking to her.
Where did it all go wrong?
Jimin is sure that's the question that he needs to be answered, but he doesn't want to bother her anymore. Could he ask one of the members? Would they even know?
"Jimin?"
Jimin looks up at the sudden blinding light. Hoseok stands in the doorway, looking into the dark room seriously. The sight startles him. He thought Hobi was across from him in his own bed.
"Jimin? Are you still up?"
"Hobi..." Jimin sniffles, wincing as Hoseok flicks on the lights, "I thought you were in bed asleep,"
"I was working," Hoseok mumbles, walking over to Jimin, sitting on his own bed across from Jimin, "What's wrong?"
"Hobi..." Jimin mumbles, "When did she stop loving me?"
Hoseok takes a moment, looking down at his own hands.
"Let me ask you a question first," Hoseok looks up at him, his normally grinning face looks strange this serious, "Do you need to be comforted or do you want the truth?"
Ouch.
Jimin bites his lips, unsure what he wants anymore.
"The truth," Jimin takes a deep shaky breath, "I need the truth to move on,"
Hoseok nods his head wisely, obviously impressed by Jimin's response.
"Well, I don't think she loved you, Jimin," Hoseok murmurs, "She definitely liked you, maybe a lot. But she didn't love you,"
"Do you think she could have?" Jimin roughly wipes the tear that slides down his face at his words, "Do you think we would have ended up like this either way?"
"It's hard to say," Hoseok leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees, "She might have started loving you in different circumstances,"
Jimin lets out a sob, clutching his hurt chest.
Lilly...
Hoseok moves over to Jimin's bed, putting his arm over his shoulders.
"But Jimin," Hoseok pats his back, "That's the past. There's nothing you can do about it now. All you can do is learn from it,"
Jimin nods, leaning into Hoseok's shoulder.
Hoseok is right, Jimin knows he's right. But he wants to take it all back. He wants to start again.
"Was it because I was touring?" Jimin asks.
"No," Hoseok murmurs.
"Was it because I kept asking her to move with me?"
