English Teacher: Okay. Have a seat.
I sat down but what happens next will change my life!! Just wait and see!

I can't believe this!!! I can finally prove that dreams are not a waste of time, I'll show them!!

~A couple hours~
At home
Julie: Hey sweetie, how was school??
Me: Good!! Now listen Mom. Can you please sit down??
Julie: Okay??
Me: I'm signing up for a spot at the talent show this Friday and I want you to shut up and listen to the song I'm going to sing. So, come please?
Julie: Okay but when you don't get praise. I'm going to tell you so and you'll be grounded for life, if this wastes my time.
Me: It won't, trust me!!
Julie: Okay.
~5 o'clock on Friday~
At school.
Julie: Don't disappoint.
Me: I won't.
At that talent show, there were some good ones, so it was even harder for me to top them. I gave it my all. I did.
I got a standing ovation and the look that my mother gave me. It made me happy. It really did!! I think that was the first time she was happy about singing!!
Julie: I'm proud of you! You proved me wrong; I can tell you that, but you are not off the hook missy!!
Me: I know!! Hockey should be the top priority in my life and no dreams.
Julie: You got it! But you can sing around the house.
Me: You mean it!!
Julie: Yeah.
And just like that. It's just the beginning of my career.
