Chapter 6: Take Flight

Meringue: "Where are you taking us?"

The question on their minds, but wasn't answered. But for the drivers. Their destination was a warehouse near the airport. They were to meet with Ms. C there where they will stash the children and keep them there until further notice.

???: "You'll find out soon enough."

Anmitsu: "*whisper* Guys I think I know where we are. I've been around the city a lot and have memorized the turns by now. I think we're going to the airport."

Velvet: "*whisper* The airport? What the hell are they doing taking us there?"

Anmitsu: "*whisper* I wish I knew. But we have to do whatever they say for the time being. For mom's sake."

Caramel: "*whisper* But what the hell have we done to these random people. I've never seen them in my life. Have any of you messed around with some yakuza or other organized crime group?"

Velvet: "*whisper* No."

Anmitsu: "*whisper* Pfffft No, you know me."

Meringue: "*whisper* Can't say I have."

Caramel: "*whisper* So maybe they've mistaken us as the people they're actually looking for."

Meringue: "*whisper* That's a possibility. When we get wherever we're going, we'll talk to the one in charge and tell them this is a big misunderstanding."

Anmitsu: "*whisper* Wait, we're all forgetting that they know mom and that they've been there before."

Velvet: "*whisper* That's right. But then, there is no mistake."

Meringue: "*whisper* Looks like we're gonna have to try out luck because I sure as hell don't want something bad to happen."

The four of them continue to discuss their situation amongst each other and what the next best course of action is when they all feel that the van stopped. Looks like they were done fucking around and were now in the process of finding out. The doors swing open and some men come in and put sacks over their heads and dragged them off. Several minutes later, their bags are taken off and shoved into a room.

Meringue: "Can we talk to someone in charge here? Hello?"

Anmitsu: "I don't think they're coming. Do you guys think a twisted rival patisserie had these guys kidnap us?

Caramel: "Anmitsu, that idea is completely stupid. All of the other patisseries and bakeries are some of our biggest fans."

Anmitsu: "Well maybe it's from another city that's looking to expand then."

Caramel: "No it's not Anmitsu!"

Anmitsu: "I'm just saying it's a possibility."

Velvet: "I still think Anmitsu upset the wrong set of people..."

Anmitsu: "I really wouldn't do that Velvet!!!"

Anmitsu continues to try to prove why his idea is probable and how Velvet and Caramel were wrong when the door opens.

Meringue: "Guys shut up someone's coming in."

They stand up as the people enter.

Ms. C: "Remain seated."

Velvet: "You're the one from the tablet!"

Ms. C: "Yes, I am. Now, do you four know why I've captured you here today?"

The four of them shake their head in synchronization.

Ms. C: "Well that doesn't matter. I'll summarize it for you kitties. Your father owes something to my boss."
