The moon light filtered through the windows of the Grille, casting long shadows across the table where the girls sat, their plates mostly untouched. Spencer's voice was low, urgent, as she filled them in on what the police had found. The tension in the air was almost suffocating, an unspoken understanding between them all that things were only getting worse.

"Do you think somebody rubbed that sweater on your bracelet?" Aria asked, her brows furrowed in concern.

"Somebody?" Sophie scoffed, shaking her head. "Try Ian." The name alone made her stomach churn. If anyone was capable of framing Spencer for Alison's murder, it was him. He had the power, the connections, and—most importantly—the motive.

"He's doing everything he can to make you look guilty," Emily said, glancing at Spencer with worry. "Your parents should hire you a 24-hour bodyguard."

Spencer let out a humorless laugh, rubbing her temples. "Yeah, right. My parents are too busy pretending like nothing's wrong."

Aria, still deep in thought, suddenly asked, "What about Jenna? What if she paid Caleb to get that bracelet?"

Sophie frowned. "When was Caleb even in her house?" She knew Caleb was resourceful, but sneaking into Jenna's place unnoticed seemed like a stretch.

"He doesn't need an invitation, Soph," Aria reminded her. "He broke into a vending machine with a spork."

Sophie raised an eyebrow. "Resourceful and a menace to snack dispensers. Great."

Before anyone could respond, Spencer suddenly tensed. "Guys, I think someone is watching us."

Sophie immediately turned to follow her gaze, expecting to see a shadowy figure lurking outside. Instead, her eyes landed on a display of eerie dolls lined up in the street.

"Those?" Emily asked, unimpressed. "Those are for the Founders Festival."

"If those are what Rosewood's founding family looked like, how did they get anyone to move here?" Sophie muttered, tilting her head at the unsettling expressions on the dolls' faces.

"And why were they allowed to reproduce?" Spencer added, her voice dry.

"Guys, if Caleb was—" Emily started, but Hanna quickly cut her off.

"Can we stop using the 'C' word?" Hanna snapped, her expression darkening.

Sophie sighed. "Hanna, I get it. But we have to talk about him."

"If we want to help Spencer, then we need to know what Caleb knows," Emily reasoned.

Spencer, however, wasn't paying attention anymore. She was still staring out the window, her grip tightening around the edge of the table. "There is definitely someone out there," she insisted, but her words were brushed aside as the conversation shifted back to Caleb.
