"Why can't you get this correct Mackenzie?! All you have to play is a E scale arpeggio, if you can't do this, you simply cannot do anything!" My mothers words scorched me and holding back tears, I tried to play it again. I couldn't do it, and I knew what was coming. "Honestly, Mackenzie, you're useless. Do you want to throw away your future? Do you want to ruin your life?!" My mother screamed at me, expecting an answer. "No m'am. I-I will work hard to get it perfect." I couldn't take it anymore, I was about to burst out crying. "Now that's my beautiful daughter." I simply rushed to my room before she saw me break down. Once I got to my room, I shut the door and began to sob. Why couldn't I be perfect like my mother? I was nothing, absolutely nothing. There was only one thing that could get me out of this sadness, 5 seconds of summer. My world suddenly was at ease.
*Next Day*
"Mack! Mack! Oh my god, slow down!" Winter screamed. Winter is the loudest out of my 3 best friends and seemed to be the only one at school today. "What is so important Winter??" Clearly out of breath, she couldn't muster out the words. "That talent show you're performing at? 5SOS IS JUDGING IT!!" I could almost scream my head off of my body, but I was way more reserved than that. "I can't believe it! They will judge my performance. Woah," I exclaimed. After that, I was speechless all day. I had to practice day and night, to impress 5 seconds of summer. Nothing could make me happier.
