Chapter 11

  Oh my god. For how long have I known this? Maybe I have known ever since that first kiss. But I can't let him know, he's my only guy friend...

"Are you okay, Mack?" I went back to his eyes and sheepishly smiled. I couldn't let him know. I would just keep a secret, until he likes me back. Who am I kidding? No one would ever like me; I'm small, insecure and ugly.

"I'm fine. Um can you drop me at my house now?" Something flashed in his eyes and he smiled back at me. I looked down at my hands then back at him. I want to kiss him so badly. Before I could rethink my decision, my lips were on his. Oh shit, oh no! OH MY GOD!!! Suddenly he grabbed the back of my head and kissed me back with passion. I began to move my lips over his as our kiss got deeper. I slowly pulled away as red began to rush into my cheeks. He coughed before meeting my eyes again.

"Um, lets go." Luke rushed out before scratching the back of his head. I quickly got up and walked to his car. That did not go as well as I thought it would.

I walked into my house and jogged into my room, not bothering to acknowledge my mother. As soon as I opened my door, I dialed Winter. Out of my four best friends, Winter and I were the closest. We had been friends since birth; our mothers had been friends in college. We had quickly hit it off after we both shared in our obsession of horses. Ever since then, we have been connected by the hip. Ever where I went, Winter would be right be my side. While Winter was bubbly, energetic and outgoing, I'm shy, under spoken and quirky. Nothing could separate us, we were the best of friends.

"Winter, I need you at my house ASAP. It's a code red."

"A code red? We haven't had a code red in years Kenz!"

"I know it's really important, that's why I'm only calling you instead of all the girls."

"No way! I'll come through your window since you're still grounded. Be there in a minute."

"Okay. Bye Wintz!"

"Bye Kenz!" I sat by my window, waiting for our special knock. I picked up my book when I soon heard a knock on my window. I looked to my window and saw that Winter was knocking furiously at my window. I opened the window and Winter rushed into my room.

"Geez Kenz! It's so cold out there I could have become a human popsicle! Anyways, what's so important? You know, I was texting a very cute boy before I had to rush here. If it's a code red it has to be important right?" I chuckled to myself before looking back at her.

"Well, I kind of maybe have a crush on this boy." I stammered out. Winter's eyes filled with surprise before she began to jump up and down.

"Kenzie has a crushhhhh. Kenzie has a crushhhhhh. This is huge! This isn't a code red, this a code magenta. Code magenta is the highest level! Why couldn't you tell the rest of the girls about this? She shouted whilst excitedly skipping around my room. I shushed her and she quickly sat down.

"Well it's not just any crush, I-I have a crush on Luke. I don't think he likes me back though. I mean he's a celebrity and I'm just a normal girl from California. Why would he like a girl like me when he can have a girl like Selena Gomez? Oh my god, he could have Selena Gomez! I'm so stupid to like him." Winter started shaking me furiously after I finished my small rant.

"Kenz you are like so pretty, smart, fun, and have an all-around amazing personality. Any guy would be super lucky to have a girl like you. You are also complete girlfriend material! Not to mention that you guys have gone on two dates, yes I know about your date today, and have kissed once already. I mean it's so obvious that he likes you, do you not see how he looks at you?" I blushed at her words and quietly giggled to myself. I smiled at her. Everyone should have a friend like Winter. She could cheer you up in the worst moments.

"Thanks Wintz, but we actually kissed twice..." I shyly looked to my hands. She widen her eyes and signaled me to finish the story. "Well we were under the tree after it had just stopped raining and he was looking at me with his adorable eyes. Wintz I love his eyes! Anyways, I had just figured out I have a crush on him and I wanted to kiss him. Then without thinking, I kissed him. I don't know why I did it! One minute I was thinking it and the next it was really happening. I guess it was just impulse." Winter jumped out of my window seat and began to celebrate in my room, this time, more quietly.

"Did he kiss you back? Oh my god, he did! This is huge Kenzie! Don't worry guys are just slower than we girls are, He'll realize that he's in love with you sooner or later." She gave me a hug and I hugged her back. I really do hope so. "Kenz, I have to go now, my mom will find out that I'm not just in the shower." She laughed and I smirked at her. Of course she would have thought up a scheme to come here. She's the master of back up stories.

"Okay, text me!" She waved then exited out my window. I needed an action plan. Somewhere to go from this point in my 'love life'. Winter is right, boys are slow on catching feelings for a girl. I was going to get Luke to like me.

Hey you guys! I'm back with another chapter in this story of mine! Well a lot of new stuff happened in this chapter. Mackenzie addressed her crush on Luke and you guys found out about Winter and Mackenzie's relationship. Also I decide that the girl to play Mackenzie is Chloe Moretz! She's my absolute vision for who Mackenzie would be. Anyways, I noticed that I have NO comments on this book. So my goal for this chapter is just for a few comments. I'll see you guys next time!
