*1 hour later*
As the rest of the acts performed, the principal of my school came to the stage. "Tonight many wonderful acts performed. From orchestra talents to plate spinning wonders. But there can only be one winner." I crossed my fingers that they would call my name. This would at least get my mother not to yell at me as much for ditching Beethoven for 5SOS. "Our winner is...Mackenzie Hart!" Did he just call my name? My name! Oh my god I won, this can't be possible. I walk to the stage and see many giving me a stink eye that can't be forgotten. I grab my award and wave quickly. I rush off the stage, because those nasty looks made me completely sick. I won. My first ever win at this talent show that I have been performing in since I was 5 years old. "Thank you everyone for performing and watching" The principal announced. I saw my mother approaching me. "Baby you won! I told you all my pushing you was so you can win this." I hugged my mother, holding a sincere moment that hasn't taken place since I was 12. "I'm gonna go start the car so we can go to your favorite restaurant. Meet me when you're finished." I ran to get my violin, so we could leave. Suddenly I bumped into something. "Agh!" I screamed. I looked up and noticed I was in the hands of Luke Hemmings. "I'm so sorry. I'm just a clutz." I apologized "No, it was my fault. No worries love." He put me on my feet and smiled sincerely. "You did great today. Congrats." He gave me his hand. I quickly looked down. "Um. thanks I..i got to go." I tried to run off but he pulled me back. "Do you think I can have your number?" Luke said. Did Luke Hemmings just ask for my number? "Um yeah. Here you go." I scribbled my number down on a piece of paper. "Text you later?" He asked. ".Yeah sure. Bye." I ran off to meet my mother and tell my best friends about this experience. This is the best day ever.
