Chapter 6

"Mom! Um I'm going to Andrea's house. " I start to walk away when she calls me back. "Who's going to be there, sweetie?" She asks me. I cannot believe she just asked me that. Does she not believe me? "Andrea, Nicole, and Winter, of course." I replied. Can I just leave now? "Okay, have a great time honey." "Okay, mom. Be back at 10." I walked out the door and jumped in my car. I changed into my bikini in the back of the car, then put a crop top and shorts on top of it. I couldn't believe I was wearing this without my mothers consent. But Nicole said to live on the edge, so for the first time in my life, why not? As I drove to the beach, my phone lite up.
Luke- Hey, where are you?
Mackenzie- On my way.
Luke- Can't wait to see you.
Mackenzie- Me too. Bye
Luke- Bye.
I pulled up at the beach and walked to where Luke was. He stared at me in awe. "Woah Mackenzie. You look, well, you look beautiful." I sat down next to him and situated myself.
"Thanks Luke. So how are you?" I asked while fiddling with my fingers. "Great, now that I'm with you." I laughed awkwardly. "I really liked your performance at the talent show. How long have you been playing?" He asked me. I thought back to when I began to play. "Since I was like 5, I think." I laughed again, I don't know why I continue to laugh. "That's like how long I've been playing the guitar." Finally, someone who gets me. "Do you swim Mackenzie?"
"Kind of, I guess."
"Let's go then." He grabbed my hand and I instantly got butterflies in my stomach. I toke off my crop top and shorts behind my car and ran to him. He was already in the ocean, beckoning me to join him. "I don't know about this. It looks really cold." Next thing I know he pulls me into the water. "Ahhh. Luke oh my god!!" I splashed him with all the force I had. "Damn Mackenzie." He burst out laughing then pulled me on top of him. He looked into my eyes, and I looked deeply into his. We were soon so close to each other, I could feel his heat. He pulled me in and his soft lips were soon on mine. The coolness of his lip ring was all that was keeping from the intense heat. I kissed him back delicately and we stayed in that position for what had to be 5 minutes. I soon pulled away, smiling ear to ear. "That was wow. And my first kiss." I smiled again, I couldn't believe I just kissed Luke fricking Hemmings. "Your first kiss? That was the best kiss I've ever had." I was absolutely speechless. "I have to go, my mom said 10 o' clock."
"Okay, I will text you later. Bye love." I grinned widely. "Bye, Luke." I ran to my car and quickly changed into my sweatshirt and jeans. Driving away, I saw Luke looking at me, with hope in his eyes. I think today was one of the greatest days of my life. I would never forget it. When I entered my driveway, I jumped out of my car and waked into my house. And when my mother saw my hair, she looked very angry. I was in so much trouble.
