Meeting

I didn’t mean to, but I do fall asleep. I woke up to Hermione gently shaking me and telling me we’re at Platform 9 3/4 . I grab my suitcase and quickly get off. I don’t want Hermione to see me with her or see her at all in any case. But to my dismay, Hermione follows me. I try to disappear into the crowd, but Hermione is annoyingly persistent and keeps following me.

“Who are you meeting with?” she asks.

I shrug and she goes on, “There are my parents.”

She points to a middle aged man and woman standing close by. Hermione walks up to them, hugs them, and her father picks up her trunk. They were just about to leave, when someone walks up to me and puts their hand on my shoulder. Hermione lets out a small gasp and stares. I don’t blame her.

The person who touched me was a tall woman with white skin, and long, thick, shiny dark hair. Her face had a strong jaw, heavily-lidded eyes with long eyelashes, and she had an arrogant, disdainful smile playing around her thin lips as she looked from Hermione, Hermione’s parents, and back to me.

“Who is this?” she asks.

“Hermione Granger. Someone from school.” I mumble.

She walks me away and as I pass, Hermione whispers, “You know her?”

“She’s my aunt.” I quietly fire back at her. Scowling and muttering under my breath, I walk away. Apparently, she’s not done talking to me because, she had written something on a piece of paper, crumpled it up, and threw it at me. I grab it, scowl at her, stuff it in my pocket and make a mental note to read it later.
