"Come on, you two!" Kyiah calls from the surface. Glancing at the sweating, Winchesters, hard at work.

"Hey, I don't see you chuckin dirt!" Dean retorts, making her naturally downturned lips smile.

"You're doing good for a couple of pretty boys!" She counters. Bringing Dean to rest his head back.

"Pretty boys.." He repeats exhaustedly, concealing the amorous look pulling across his face.

"Just keep digging, Dean." Sam recommends, throwing some dirt over his rolled up, flanneled, shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah." He shoves off, still gleaming. They dig for a while longer before Sam finally comes to a stop.

"Ten feet." He sighes, wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. "This should be good." Sam marked, tossing his shovel into the corner as Dean leans against his.

"Good work, Winchesters!" Kyiah shouts.

"Great. Cool, cool. Now, how do we get out of here?" Dean calls. She looks around for a second before peering over the edge of the grave.

"No idea."

"What?!" The brothers exclaim in sync.

"Kidding! I'm kidding." She laughs, standing upright. "Castiel?" She summons, gazing at the stars, hearing a conglomeration of leaves in a gentle breeze.

"Kyiah." She turns to see him, wearing a joyful simper.

"Hi, Cas." The angel's comforting vessel affectionately smiles before analyzing the surroundings. Putting a frown on his ethereally featured face.

"What are you doing here?" He questions. "Where is-" Kyiah motioned with her head towards the unearthed hole. Castiel places a look of skepticism on his artistic face. She leans back as she chuckles.

"I'm serious, take a look." Cas strode closer to the grave and gazes down, seeing a dirt covered Dean and Sam looking up at him. He twirls back to Kyiah, slanting his head.

"Is this a prank?" He ask flatly.

"No, no. But the jokes do need help getting out of the hole they dug themselves in. Literally." Cas nods in contentment and snaps, putting Dean and Sam on their feet next to Kyiah. The two take a breath, thankful to be back on the surface.

"What are you all doing out here?" Castiel interrogates, scanning their faces.

"We had to take out a menace." Dean answers surely.

"Pagan God." Kyiah states in her defense.

"Kyiah, you shouldn't be out of the bunker." Cas rebuked controllingly. Well versed in the stubbornness of her character, yet always baffled by it.

"Okay, take it easy." Dean interjects, taking a protective step. "We will protect Kai, if and when, she needs it. But we can handle a hunt. If we need to pull back, we'll pull back. But we still have a job to do. She can fend for herself, you know." Dean protests, his defensive candor returning the angel's faith in the selection, all the while Impressing Kyiah with his show of verbal rebellion.

"Okay." Cas consents, sending a look of strained trust to Kyiah.

"Alright. Help me get her buried already." Sam requests, bending down to lift the statued goddess.

"I got it." Castiel snaps, relocating the body upside down beneath the re-filled hole. As soon as Cas's back was to them, Kyiah and Dean bump a secret fist behind their backs. Sharing a discrete smile.

"Wow. That saved us about..half a lifetime." Sam scoffed in gratitude. Dean leaned himself toward her.

"Why didn't we think of him before?" She shrugs, lifting her slit brow humorously.
