The next day, the two hunters cross into the state of New York at the break of dawn. Silently preparing themselves through an uneven atmosphere.
"Sam said he was inside a Vetala Mansion. Where would a ton of Vetala have a mansion?" Dean asks, reading the road signs through the windshield.
"Vetala like to hunt in pairs, big open spaces. Maybe deeper into the rural part of the state?" Kyiah thought aloud, seeing Dean nod in agreement.
"We're gonna need to find some information on this place." He sighs, opening up. "Know of any hunters in the area?" Dean leans his head to her, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Actually, yeah. Bonnie Wryller. She's retired now but, she's got a load of intellect that could probably help right now."
"Wait Wryller? I know that name." He glances, over.
"You should. She's recognized for her work in cataloging the worlds worst creatures. She fought alongside some of the most famous hunters in America. Documenting every strategy she could."
"And, how do you know her?"
"She's um, a witch, one of my mom's friends." Kai says sketchily.
"Your mom was friends with a witch?" Dean questions.
"Uh, yeah." She vaguely answers. Omitting the fact that Bonnie was no ordinary witch, but the necromancer known as the Mistress of Magick. Her mother's coven sister, and lifelong mate. An increasingly powerful sorcerous whom occasionally worked with Tsia during her time in The Underworld as a youngling. Assisting in controlling and managing her specialized magick beneath her fathers strict watch. One of the only people he ever allowed to interact with Tsia.
"Where is she?"
"Valley Falls, I think." She says, just as the sign for the area makes its appearance.
"Perfect." She gives a small side smile, lifting Dean's spirits a smidge. Still immersed in the awkward veil of last nights unfinished confrontation. The drive there was short and sweet, and soon, Baby found a hidden driveway. Pulling in front of a cozy, self built, two story house. "Cheeky." Dean mentions, admiring the stone structure and crooked roof. Lifting himself from the car to take in the decorative wind chimes and accessories.
"Bonnie is a little, unconventional. So, don't be too alarmed." Kyiah advises, making her way to the iron touched door, giving it a knock. "Bonnie." There was a moment of nothing. "Bon, it's Tsia-" The door instantly flings open. Revealing an eccentrically dressed black women with a moderately bushy, tan afro. She threw her arms around Kyiah with lightning speed. Holding her against her robust physique.
"TSIA, THANK GOD YOU'RE OKAY!" Kyiah chuckles sweetly. Resting herself in the embrace.
"I missed you too." She let out, trying to breath beneath Bonnie's crushing arms. "Bon." She requests for freedom, tapping her lightly. Bonnie quickly drops her grip, straightening her plentiful necklaces over her cardigan. Adjusting her fro behind her cloth headband.
"Sorry, Sweets." She smiles wide, holding Kai's arm in gratitude. "God, look at you!" She gushes, grabbing her face as she observes her apprentice through the circular, scarlett glasses, resting on the bridge of her nose. "You look darling!" She compliments, tears rimming her light blue marbled eyes, harmonizing with her beautifully dark skin. "Just the same." She adores. Not even notice Dean until he clears his throat. Her vision settles onto him. "Dean Winchester?" She greets, shaking his hand.
"In the flesh." Bonnie shifts her weight to get a better view, grinning at him.
"My, have you grown." Dean looks to Kyiah than to Bonnie. "I worked with John on and off for many years." She educates. "Geez the last time I saw you, you were just a ten year old."
