The Hibiki Household

I was sitting on the couch, watching over Ayaka while Rikka was busy cooking. As she was preparing the food, she suddenly paused.

Rikka sighed. "I hope they're okay..."

"Aah..." Ayaka cooed.

"I hope so too. I saw Grid out there, fighting the kaiju; he came back. That would mean Takuya fought as well."

"I see..." She looks at me. "You were kind of like that too."

I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess I was." I grabbed Ayaka and smiled at her. "Always protecting those he loves."

"Aah...!" Ayaka cooed happily.

"Don't worry, they'll be fine, I know it."

Rikka nodded, then she looked at the door. "But what if they aren't?"

"Rikka..."

"Takuya always gets himself hurt all the time and Rin...I hope she's okay. I hope everyone's okay."

I stood up and went towards her. "Rikka, aren't you worrying a little too much?"

"Of course I am! I'm their mother! I've seen them get hurt too many times; I don't want that to happen again."

"Rikka, how many times did I get hurt when I was Gridman? How many times did we all get hurt together?"

"A lot..."

I nodded. "We knew the risks of fighting alongside Gridman and Dynazenon. Yomogi, Yume, Utsumi, and everyone else; we did it because we have loved ones who we want to protect."

"That is true..."

I smiled. "I trust them; Takuya and Rin. It's our job to watch over them, but we should also believe in them."

She stared at me, then frowned. "But...if they're hurt..." Ayaka reached her hand out and touched her face. "Ayaka..."

"Aah..." she cooed.

Rikka smiled at her and touched her cheek. "Family...that's what we've all been fighting for this entire time, haven't we?"

I nodded. "Here. How about you watch Ayaka? I can take over the cooking."

"But..." I handed her Ayaka and placed my hands on her shoulders. "Yuta..."

I smiled. "You've worked hard today; let me help. It's something only I can do."

She stared at me, then smiled. "Mattaku...what would I do without you?"

"Aah...!" Ayaka cooed with a smile.

"Just one thing: Are you sure you know how to cook?" she asked me.

I gave her a nervous smile. "Yeah...I think I do..."

She sighed. "You and your amnesia..."

The door opens and we look to see Takuya and Rin. "Tadaima."

"Rin! Takuya!" Rikka rushed to them. "Are you alright?"

Rin nodded. "We're fine!"

She lets out a sigh of relief and smiled. "Yokatta..."

"Were you worried about us?" Takuya asked.

"Of course! One of you might get hurt!"

"But...we didn't."

"Nii-san, what're you talking about? You were about pass out after you came back from fighting!"

"What?" said Rikka.

"I'm fine. I really am."

I went towards them. "Takuya, you don't have to act tough all the time, you know that right?"

He nodded. "I'm feeling better now. You don't have to worry."

I chuckled, then I saw his Primal Accepter. "You and Grid; you both fought today, against the kaiju."

"It was something only I can do." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

She smiled at us. "You really do take after your father." Rikka said. "Hey, hold Ayaka. Rin and I can do the cooking."

I grabbed Ayaka. "Eh? You sure?" I asked.

"Yuta, you said you couldn't cook."

"I did, but...you should rest..."

"It's alright, Otou-san! I can help Okaa-san!"

"I see. Alright then, I'll leave it to the two of you."

"Aah...!" Ayaka cooed.

"I'll feed her," said Takuya.

"No, I can do it. Go rest."

"Otou-san, I'm alright. I can-"

"Mattaku! Both of you just go sit on the couch!"

"Yes ma'am..."
