Soon we reached the borders of the jungle kingdom but I was still to weak to stand but I heard faint rustling behind us and I saw a whole swarm of jungle guards holding long blowguns pointed at us glaring harshly "but I don't see any guards" Maya said "it's because there right behind us you dipsticks" I spat still barely conscious "ok let ri-me handle this" Rico said before getting shot in the finger "Rico?" And before we knew it he got trampled by tons of them and fell back with a scream,Maya grabbed her sword and prepared for a fight "we mean you no harm" but clearly those weren't the right words and she got trampled to and fell with a thud as her helmet rolled of.I slowly got off of chiàpa still trying to regain my strength but fell face flat this is embarrassing I thought.
Soon we all were taken to the jungle queens palace but one of rico's legs were still numb and chiàpa was left behind as all three of us entered the palace and we saw all sorts of paintings and thankfully I was able to walk because getting dragged here was embarrassing,and I heard Rico and Maya talk about the little girl in the paintings and is known as 'the widow queen' Wich màmà never mentioned to me before and soon we were in the queens throne room with a big giant skeleton themed throne with multiple guards on all sides "beloved widow queen of the jungle lands,we found these drifters trying to sneak into our kingdom along with this cloaked assassin" one guard said and on the throne looked like a little girl not older than 10,she yawned and sat up holding a stuffed doll in her hands  and looked at all three of us with her full undivided attention "drifters?! I am-" "now why don't you let rico handle this, I'm great with little kids" Rico whispered and walked up to the widow queen "listen here, baby girl. Now, we need to talk boring grown up business now why don't you tell your mamita and papito that we're here,and then go sleepy happy siesta time?" He said in a childish tone and I slightly snickered at it mostly because it was pretty obvious he was terrible around kids and the widow queen' looked offended but I couldn't balme her since if I was her I would have felt the same
"Guards feed him to the hyenas" she said and two guards tried to tackl Rico but failed and he ran off and tried to blast them but Estefan snapped "ah,yeah um Wich way to the hyenas?" He nervously chuckled and got tacke away but Maya stepped forward "beloved queen of the jungle lands,I humbly apologize for not giving advance notice of our visit and my insolent partner" "see I'm insolent untill proven guilty" Rico objected "it is me, princess Maya of the Teca's" she said tacking off her helmet and kneeled down "stand down guards" the widow queen ordered and the two guards holding Rico let him go and he fell face flat "now that's what I thought, it was about to get real crazy in here,I'm loco!" Rico spat walking forward as he dusted himself off "princess Maya please state your business" "my father was wrong about the Teca prophecy,but I have figured out it's true meaning,the prophecy I saw was of four warriors from each kingdom and a guardian,I am the little eagle,my friend Rico is the mighty rooster wizard from Luna island and brighteyes is the secret guardian of the distant islands.we are here seeking the true skull warrior from the jungle lands" Maya said,the widow queen turned to her doll for a few seconds then turned back to us "would you like some tea?" "Tea? Your majesty?" "It's tea time for me and Fabiola" she hugged her doll but the head popped off and she just pushed the parts back together "make believe tea party time, you can't be serious?" "Would you prefer the hyenas?" "I'll take mine with to lumps" Rico said holding up two fingers in a nervous smile and I just scoffed I can't believe a child her age is this mature but still does things a normal child does I thought and crossed my arms.
