Hello humans. So I've realized that I don't have a schedule for posting. I've decided that I will try to post on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I don't have anything else to add. Thank you for reading, love you all!

Flash stood there surrounded by the other Queens Newsies. I hid behind Hotshot, staying out of sight.

"Well hello, Spotty," a Queens Newsies in the front took another step forward. Spot clenched his fist. Spot put out his hand, not letting the Queens Newsie through.

"Hello, Dagger." Dagger nodded his head. It was silent for a moment.

"Well, aren't ya gonna let us in?" Spot didn't budge. Flash's smirk spread to the other Queens Newsies.

"Why don't we take care of this outside." Skittery stepped forward. Spot nodded. Dagger and the other Queens Newsies moved back, allowing us to come out. I still hid behind Hotshot.

"Ok Dagger, I'm done playin games wit ya," Spot pointed a finger at him. "Why'd ya bring ya boys all the way out here in the middle of the day?" Dagger crossed his arms. His smirk was gone.

"We came hea because your boys has been beatin' on mine," he took a step towards the much shorter Spot. Spot didn't move.

"Well, your boys attacked ours first. Besides, they shouldn't be on our turf in the first place," this time it was Spot who stepped forward. The two boys were so close their noses were almost touching. Dagger was the first to back down.

"Fine, Flash, who's the one who hit ya?" Dagger turned to Flash, pushing him forward. Flash took a moment to look around before his eyes landed on Lucky. He smirked and pointed.

"It was that one," Lucky looked terrified. I poked my head out and grabbed his hand. I nodded in reassurance. Suddenly Flash's gaze landed on me. "And that one."

I looked around, unsure of what to do next. Dagger did it for us. He stepped forward and looked me and Lucky up and down. After a minute of stares he began to laugh.

"Wow, Flash, you was taken down by this scrawny lil thing?" I looked at my shoes hoping to escape the stares. Dagger didn't give up yet. He bent down so we were eye to eye. "So lil lady, why'd you hit my boy here?" he gestured back at Flash. I gulped.

"He tried to grab me. I told him to stop, but he wouldn't, then Lucky tried to help. Flash didn't like that, so he started beating Lucky up. I tried to make him stop, but he grabbed me again and, and-" Dagger cut me off. He held out his hand in front of his face. The smirk was replaced by anger and disbelief. He turned to Flash, dropping his arm down.

"Flash, Is this true?" Flash didn't speak. This time he was the one looking at his shoes. Dagger continued. "Have you learned nothing?" he was yelling now. "We may be poor street rats, but we'se still got morals!" Dagger walked back over to Flash. All of the newsies- no matter Queens or Brooklyn- stared at him. It was just as Dagger said; the newsies had rules, and Flash broke one . Dagger grabbed Flash's shoulder. "Look at 'er Flash. She's a fucking child." Dagger shook him.

The Queens Newsies apologized. The Brooklyn Newsies were surprised. After the whole ordeal was dealt with, Dagger came up to me.

"Hey kid, I'm sorry 'bout what happened. If it happens again, know that we Queensies got your back!" he smiled and left with the rest. As soon as they left, me and Lucky turned to each other and high fived.

"Wow Birdie, I ain't never seen the Queens Newsies be nice. Or call themselves Queensies," he shrugged on the last part. We both started laughing.

"Evelyn, you didn't tell us that Flash tried to..." Spot bent down so we were eye to eye. Race put his hand on Spot's shoulder.

"It's okay Birdie. Les asked me if you and Lucky could come play today, ya wanna come?" Lucky and I looked at each other and smiled.

"Course I do."
