There was a high end coffee shop on the edge of campus Alexander frequently visited every Friday during the afternoon. I found this out from the third year law students.
So one Friday after my ethics lecture, I causally made my way to the coffee shop, oddly named the Lile.
It was past noon so it wasn't as busy.
I spotted him sitting in the back near the glass windows.
Taking in a deep breath, I walked up to his table as casually as I could.
I silently placed my bag in the empty chair in front of him and stood there awkwardly looking at him.
"You're Alexander right?"
He slowly looked up with a frown and closed the book he was reading.
This was the first time I was looking at him up close.
He was beautiful.
He had light brown hair that covered half his forehead, sparkling light brown eyes, and a chiseled jaw line.
He had a different type of aura compared to the other guys on campus. Maybe it was because he was half Korean and British or maybe because he was six foot and kept to himself. I didn't really know what it was that made him so attractive.
But I had to control myself.
"You seem to already know who I am," he said coldly as he lowered his gaze back to his book. "Something you needed?"
Wow the nerve of this guy.
I frowned and huffed loudly so he could hear it.
"Yeah. I've had the unfortunate luck of having you as my mentor for my senior project. So if you could get off your high horse for just one minute and help me, I would greatly appreciate it," I said in the same cold tone.
I guess he wasn't used to being spoken to like that because his hand froze as he was flipping the page of his book.
He slowly closed his book again and looked up at me, this time focusing on my face.
"You're Helena?" he questioned in disbelief.
I raised a brow and nodded my head. "I go by Lena. Can I sit down or what?"
I didn't wait for his response and sat down in front of him.
Now that we were sitting face to face, I noticed a shift in his personality.
He was no longer frowning. And the book in his hand was nowhere to be seen.
Was he going to leave?
"I go by Alex," he suddenly said, throwing me off guard. He ran a hand through his perfect hair and sat up straight, his dreamy eyes locking with mine.
Stop looking at him.
"Okay," I simply stated with a small nod of my head. I quickly looked down and grabbed my bag, pulling out all the files I wanted him to sign. "Anyways, I won't waste your time. I just need to get your signature on my abstract. Once you approve my projects overview, I'll get out of your hair."
"As your mentor, I'm supposed to over see all your work throughout the year. We can set up a time to meet each week so I can track your progress."
I frowned and looked up to meet his eyes, placing the files on the table.
"What?" I asked dumbfounded. "You want to meet every week?"
He pursued his lip and shook his head up and down. "Yes. To go over your weekly progress."
