"What are you guys doing here.." I mumbled behind the pillow

"Well tengen and I were going to visit you but we saw sanemi staring into your windows aha! He told us to take a look and we say you two eating food together!" Mitsuri said in her usual cheery tone. Shinobu mentioned how she saw Tomioka walk in here so she followed him and ended up spying on us.

"I didn't hear much but~ I heard iguro say something about Tomioka san not being able to 'control himself' with another man~. I'm assuming he was referring to himself?" Shinobu added. I looked to where Tomioka was and his face was pale, was he scared? I'd understand if he was embarrassed about being outed like this but he looked more terrified then shy.

"Dude, shinobu. You ain't gotta say that sorta crap infront of everyone you know? Kinda a dick move" Tengen pulled shinobu away from Tomioka and scolded her for her actions. Mitsuri just stood there along side sanemi. "Sooo~ uhm. You guys are gay..right? Or this is like really awkward-" Mitsuri tends to barge into things without really thinking, I don't know why she does it though.

"Dude, they were feeding eachother. They are most definitely gay" sanemi replied to mitsuris question even though it wasn't for him to answer. "I mean, friends could feed eachother? I think?" Tengen added on, "how would you know 'all mighty god of festivals'? You don't have any friends" shinobu kept her fake doll smile but you could tell she was pissed. "Hey! I'm tengens friend!" Mitsuri piped up and hugged tengens arm while making a pouty face,they seemed to forget that me and Tomioka were still here.

"You good.?" I whispered to Tomioka whose face wasn't as tense as before, "yeh. What about your mask iguro?" Oh crap! My mask! I kept the pillow
infront of my face as I rummaged around my mask. I couldn't find it so I covered my mouth and crawled up to sanemi. "Psst! Sanemi!" I whispered, he looked down and saw me on the floor without my mask. He searched in his pocket and threw me some bandages, he always kept spare bandages on him incase this happened. Other then Tomioka, he's the only other person whose seen my face unmasked.

I put the bandages on my face and stood up. I kicked everyone out, excluding Tomioka. "Oooo~ gonna have more fun with your boyfriend~?" Tengen teased as I shoved him out the door along side shinobu, mitsuri and sanemi.

"Damn idiots." I scoffed and and got back on the futon with Tomioka. "Sorry about that.." I apologised to Tomioka and buried my head into his chest. It was now the afternoon and I need to feed kubaramaru, I was so exhausted after having to cook food for Tomioka and having to deal with these pricks barging into my house.

"Tomioka.. could you Feed kubaramaru for me?" I said, though my voice was a bit muffled due to my face being stuffed onto his chest. "I- sure.. but how?" I felt Tomioka stroke my hair and braid it. "Just bring him outside on the garden and he'll find his own food". I swatted Tomiokas hands away from my head and got off his shirt.

"Do I have to monitor him.?" He asked, "well obviously" I rolled my eyes in response and laid down on the futon. "Now, go on. Kubaramaru gets really grumpy when he's hungry and I don't wanna have to deal with that" I pushed him away and he took kubaramaru outside for his food. I laid down and stared at the celling, waiting for my next mission. Whenever that will be.

To my surprise, I heard my crow fly into my house through the door that Tomioka left open.

"SERPENT HASHIRA, IGURO OBANAI! I HAVE DEVASTATING NEWS!" CURRENT FLAME HASHIRA, RENGOKU KYOJIRO HAS BEEN KILLED BY A DEMON!".

What.? Rengoku is, dead? Where did this come from! Since when was he dead? Why! Surely not! He's one of the strongest demon slayers out there?! This isn't real..

I sat up and turned my head. I saw Tomioka holding kubaramru while walking back inside. His face was facing the ground. "Is it true.?" He mumbled, I nodded my head and he just sat down next to me. "How's this even happen..?" He buried his head in his knees and let kubaramaru slither up his arm and around his neck, I saw him nuzzle Tomiokas rough hair and nest his head on him.

"I mean, it was bound to happen. He's a hashira, we all are." I tried to comfort Tomioka, I guess being nice to him wasn't sooo bad. and anyways, Rengoku was a very important person to Tomioka and me. I basically grew up with him.

"Yeh, yours right.." Tomioka sighed and leaned in closer to me, resting his head on my shoulders. "Let's try not to die, ok?" I held out my finger in a pinky and made Tomioka promise to me that he wouldn't die. Aha, this is the type of shit boyfriends do.

"I'm going to take a nap..". Tomioka fell back into the futon and laid down facing the celling, he had a little tear on his eye. "You're still in your uniform." I said while wiping away the tear on his face. his cheeks were soft, probably because of the little fluffy hairs he had on them.

"Iguro, can you sleep with me again.?", he mumbled softly and pulled my down onto the futon next to him. "Try not to kiss me this time Ay?" I teased and tucked myself in my futon. Since I was small my futon was also pretty small so there wasn't much room for the both of us. Tomioka held me tightly and started sobbing in my hair, basically using it as tissues. Guess he hasn't gotten over rengokus death.. I mean I haven't either but I never knew he'd be so distraught about it.

Soon enough, he fell asleep. I stayed awake incase anything happened. maybe a demon attack? I can't be sure anymore, knowing that Muzan has been sending stronger demons. Does he have a plan? I must be on high alert!

Man, I'm genuinely surprised I can still write. Maybe when I'm done with this story and the obanai x m!reader story, il take a break and focus more on life. I'm thankfully talking to people more and doing a lot of therapy✨
