3 hours later:
Giyuus pov:

I was busy helping out noir pack her stuff, despite her only being here for a few hours she still made an absolute mess. "Gosh, why is all your stuff scattered all around the room?" I sighed, "well, il tell you why" she giggled. So there was an actual reason for it? "It's so it takes longer to clean! Therefore resulting me in being able to spend more time here!" I was stunned, that was actually kinda smart considering her age. "Since when did 7 year olds know how to say big words like that?" I chuckled while still cleaning up her smartly planned mess. "First of! I'm not 7, I'm 10! Secondly, I've been alive for a century so I basically know everything!" She said proudly. "Century? I think you mean decade." I giggled and she looked at me mad.

"O-Of course I already knew that! I was just testing you!" She said defensively. "Alright alright, whatever you say." I sighed once more and got up to leave noir with her stuff. Right as I was about to leave the room I heard noirs voice call for someone. "Daddy! Do you know where I'm gonna go?" I turned to see her smiling at me. Did she just call me her dad? "I'm not your father. Don't even try to guilt trip me into letting you stay." I crossed my arms, she rolled her eyes in response. "I can't tell you right now but I can tell you that he loves cats." I smiled and left her alone.

As I walked out the room I saw Obanai panicking in one room. I walked in to go check if he was ok. "Obanai? Are you doing well? You seem a bit pale..?". He scrupled up a piece of paper that he was holding before water started falling of his face, this wasn't tears though.. it was an unusual amount of sweat. I grabbed my haori and rubbed it across his face, cleaning off all sweat. He handed me the piece of paper which mentioned the swordsmith village was under attack by upper rank demons. I didn't get why obanai was panicking so much thought, I mean I get that out swordsmiths were important but obanai wasn't really the type to get emotional about the 'weak'. Except noir.

Then, I remembered. The kamado siblings. They were probably there, defending the village from what I assume more then one upper rank demon. I started panicking aswell, but surely they'd survive! I mean they obviously sent back up hahsiras if it was this serious. I continued reading the letter and it mentioned what hashiras were available to despatch at the village.
Now I understood why he was panicking, it was probably because mitsuri was sent there. "Calm down obanai, mitsuri is super strong, she'd be able to handle it!" I tried to cheer him up which I hoped worked but I had no idea of telling as his face was still super pale.

"Mhm.. I-I guess y-you're right.. I'm just overreacting for no reason, I'm totally over mitsuri, aha.." he stood up but stumbled on his way, I helped him by holding onto his arm for balance. He was still shaking but atleast he wasn't in a state of shock anymore..
"Giyuu, can I kiss you.?" I looked down at the floor as more sweat built up on his face. I blushed a bit at the request, "if that will make you feel better then go ahead." I watched as he came to face me. He moved his face closer to mine and gave me a quick peck on the lips before giving me a hug.

"Thanks." He said, granted it was a muffled thanks due to him stuffing his face in my shirt. "No problem, I'm always here if you need me" I patted his back for a while until I heard a forced and dramatic gag from behind me. "Bleh! Is this the sort of things parents do?" Seems noir was finished with packing up her stuff. She shut the door loudly and I sat obanai back down before leaving the room aswell. "Where are you going.?" Obanai said while rubbing his puffy eyes. Even though I didn't see him cry he seemed to still have red eyes. "Just getting you a cup of water, don't worry." I said before closing the door behind me.

God, I love him so much.

Obanais pov:

I was still a bit panicky from the letter but I'm glad giyuu is there to comfort me. He makes me feel nice in a way mitsuri never did, not that I hate mitsuri now! I still care about her very much, I'm just finding out now things about myself that's all.. it's not like she liked me back anyways but I'm happy it all turned out this way. I just wish I was a little nicer, maybe people would like me more if I was.

I saw the door open again and giyuu came back with a cup of water in one hand and noir in the other. He smiled softly at me while noir pulled at his hair to put her down, yet he some how managed to not spill a single drop of water from the cup. Incredible!

"Sorry, I found her raiding my kitchen for sweet aha" giyuu chuckled as he finally put noir down. "I was hungry ok!" She retaliated and kicked giyuus leg. He winced in pain but this was obvious just an act to please noir, which was a success as she laughed at his over the top performance. I couldn't help but laugh aswell, what a beautiful moment. I never thought that my life would go from being life-stock for a demon to becoming actually happy.

"So, should we get going.?" Giyuu asked, "mhm, I've sent him a letter already and he seemed quite happy about it!" I smiled and he smiled aswell. "I'm never ever getting married" noir perked up and blew raspberries at us. "Noir!" I scolded her, "you know that's not nice! If you want me to visit you then you have to behave!"
She apologised and I held her hand. "You stay close to me ok?" I said while walking out the room, giyuu following behind me.

At gyomeis mansion

Jeez, this place is small. Probably due to all that Buddha stuff gyomei believes in. Meh. I knocked on the door and soon enough, a large figure emerged from the house. "Are you leaving me with a monster?!" Noir screamed while grabbing on the me tightly. "Of course not! This is gyomei, he's a hashira just like me and giyuu expect he's really good with kids!" I smiled. "I heard he has a little kitty house full of cats!" I whispered in her ears, this made her smile tremendously. "Yay!" She squealed as she ran towards gyomei. "Hello child. Tell me, how do you look like?" He smiles as he felt around for noir. "But you can see me right now can't you?" She laughed, giyuu just shook his head. "You didn't tell her?" He sighed, "I thought you would've told her!" I retaliated back.

"Calm down you two, il tell her" gyomei spoke up, he finally managed to hug noir back. "Dear child, I'm actually blind" he said, why does every word gyomei says sounds so majestic? He's like a god to me or something, well less god and more of a father. "You're blind?! I thought that was a fake thing that the courtesans would tell when I looked at the sun for to long.." she looked at gyomei in shock. "Il tell you about my blindness later, for now do you want to say your goodbyes?" He turned noir around to face us both. "Bye bye muma and mr.giyuu!" she waved her hands dramatically and gave me a quick hug before leaving.

I wish I could've looked after her for longer.. but this is for the best. I definitely would've been able to look after her.
----

Fun fact: obanai and mitsuri have picnics at animal shelter sometimes. They come so regularly that the owners of the shelter knows them by a first name basis. Mitsuri likes to feed the animals bread but obanai stops her since it isn't good for them.
