I told Y/N to sleep in after they drove us back home but they didn't know that someone coming over. But first breakfast. I don't have the patience to cook this early in the morning, so I'm going to a local- family-owned cafe/diner. As I finish getting ready, I hear Y/N's door open. FUCK. "Nope, return to your cave. Go cuddle with Elena or something." I say as I run and push them back into their room. "Oh ok" I hear them say with confusion in their voice. "Bye" I close the door in their face. I quickly texted Lizzie.
Me: FYI, they're awake and I currently heading to get breakfast. What time do you guys arrive?
From 'thing two': We land in 40 minutes. Get me some bagels, if you're going to Dan's. Please and thank you.
'Bossy, are we?' I thought, getting in my car.

"Bear, the usual right?" I hear Dan say while entering the diner. "Morning Dan, yes please, and double it. We're having guests." "With or without drinks?" Scrolling on Instagram when I saw la bruja of Y/N's ex-baby mama walking in with the traitor. The audacity. "For Nicole." I hear one of Dan's employees say. I purposely run into la Bruja, "Hey, watch it bitch." she says. I turned to face her. "Katilyn, what a surprise to see you here," I replied, seeing her face lose color. Some background for you, after Y/N caught her with the traitor in THEIR BED, I lost my shit when she showed up to cover her slutty ass and she got a good lesson from me. Dragged her, literally. "N-Nicole, Ummm. Sorry" "Mmm" as I continued. Dan was watching every detail. You see Dan's the reason Y/N moved here, after the whole Katilyn drama. Y/N and Dan met in one of Y/N's first deployments, Iraq. Since then, it's really been an uncle-relative relationship and after Dan's retirement, he's kindly been looking out for Elena and I. "You ok?" Dan whispers as he keeps his eye contact with la Bruja and her crow. Making me laugh, "Yes, will you help me with this please?" "Of course." The way to the exit was incredible, seeing her nervously twitch. After getting everything in my car, I hear Dan's apology "Sorry for not banning her earlier, I didn't expect her to come here." "It's fine Dan, I didn't either. Thank god Y/N wasn't here, they would've beaten the crow just by catching the infamous cologne of his." I say while comforting him. "I think I would too," Dan adds, laughing at my comment.
Normal's POV:
Nicole has been acting weird since last night, she's getting on my nerves. After being dragged earlier, I decided to get up to shower before waking up Elena. Poor thing, she was soo tired after yesterday's events. Soo, she gets to sleep in. While I prepared my things for this shower, I quickly texted Scar.
Me: Hi Bubba, how are you? How are Cosmo and Rose doing?
No reply. She's busy. I put my phone down after putting on some music. Turning the shower nozzle to the cold temperature. I slowly undress avoiding the mirror. Body dysmorphia is hard enough and my scars make it impossible sometimes. As I pull my sweatpants down, I see the scar that I hate the most out of all of them. It runs from my side to my inner right thigh. I groaned as I tried to prevent my mind from entering those memories. I quickly get into the cold shower, starting to feel relaxed. I keep my focus on my breathing, trying to gain control. After my cold shower, I get into my boxers and my binder. Still avoiding the mirrors. Brushing my teeth, I get my jeans on and start my skin routine before getting my top on. Cera-ve is my lifesaver. After cleansing and moisturizing, I get my top on. I quickly check my phone as I head to Elena's room. 955.
I hear my front door open, "Hey breakfast is ready." Nicole says. "Hold on, I'm getting Lena ready." "Hurry, it's getting cold." She's on my last nerve. "Lena, did you finish?" I yell as she's using the bathroom. "Not yet mama." I hear her, struggling. Poor kid, unfortunately, she got my stomach issue from me. "Remember to wash your hands and brush your teeth," I yell as I get her outfit ready.
Nicole's POV:
If this mf doesn't come here, I swear to FUCK. "We're here what was the hurr-" I hear as I see them walk to the dining table. "SURPRISE" We yelled. Y/N dropped to the floor, shit we missed up. "Elena, go with Auntie Lizzie." "But mama needs me." "Elena" I warned her. As she goes to Lizzie, I gently walk over to Y/N. I see Lizzie hugging Elena, avoiding her to see Y/N's current state. "Y/N? It's Nicole." "No no no, please. Take cover." I hear Y/N whispering and repeating themselves. "Y/N. You're not there. You're home." I say as I kneel down. "Please no." They continued, and we missed up big time. This is supposed to be a calm morning, they have been having nightmares is what I can see. This is the result of them. A PTSD episode. "Y/N listen to my voice. Please come back." "N-Nicole?" they stuttered. "Yes, I'm here. You're at home, safe. Keep your focus on my voice." "There you go. Now, can you tell me 5 things that you can hear?" "I- I ummm, I hear birds. I can hear the clock, umm, wind, and breathing. Your voice" They replied, shaking. "Now, 5 things you can smell." I added while guiding them to the couch "I smell bacon, coffee, your perfume, vanilla, and my breath." "Good, now 5 things you can see?" "Ummm, I can see you, a dirty floor, sunlight, my watch, and steam." They replied as their back into reality. "See? You're okay with us. You're home." "God Elena." I see they search for Lena but see Lizzie, Robbie, and Scarlett with us. "Well, that's embarrassing." They said as they got up and walked to the bathroom. "Umm excuse me. I need a minute."
Third-person POV:
Scarlett, who was behind Lizzie and Robbie, was shocked to see Y/N's reaction and first time see this side of Y/N. She felt like invaded a bit of their privacy. She knew about Y/N's PTSD but never really asked them about it since it's a sensitive topic for Y/N. Lizzie was still holding Elena and Robbie was trying to see what he could do to help Nicole. "Let's just get the table ready for this breakfast while we wait for Y/N" You could see Nicole's tears starting to form. "I'll be right back" They hear Scarlett say while slowly heading to Y/N's room. "I wouldn't if I were you." Nicole says, comforting Elena, who was concerned about her mother's being. " Just hold on please" "Ok but don't say I didn't warn you"
Scarlett knocks on Y/N's door, "It's Scarlett, I've brought some water" "Come in." She hears Y/N say with a shaky voice. "Oh, Bubba." Scarlett sees Y/N curled up on their bed. "Here, sit up. Drink some water." Scarlett's mom mode comes out as she helps Y/N. "I know you're tired but just for a second, ok?" "Mhmm" "Here," Scarlett says as she passes the bottle of water. "I got you" Y/N has been having nightmares since October. October is a sensitive time for Y/N. They lost one of their dearest friends during active duty. James. "I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere. I'm here if you wanna talk about it. If not, we can just cuddle if you'd like." Y/N talked about some of their nightmares with Scarlett but not as detailed. When Y/N shared one of their nightmares with Scarlett, Scarlett incensed that if they need to talk about or have awakened by one, to call her immediately. No matter the time. "I just wanna lay down for a bit" Y/N finally replied. "Ok," Scarlett whispered. "Can you hold me? Please." They asked shyly. "Of course," Scarlett replied as she laid down next to Y/N and began to stretch her arm around Y/N.
Nicole's POV:
After 10 minutes, I finally heard Y/N's door open. They seem a bit calm and relaxed. "Sorry about that. Elena, I'm so sorry mija." Y/N says as they walk to the dining table. Scarlett seems to share a concerned look. They have something going on. Nahhhh, well unless. "It's ok mama, only if you're ok now." "I am, sweetie. Thank you mi niña." Y/N cuddles Lena and gives her a kiss on her forehead. "Let's eat. Also thank you for the surprise. Sorry for ruining the moment." "Don't apologize, Y/N. We understand, we're not here to judge you or anyone here." Robbie says while comforting Y/N. "Thanks, Robbie." Y/N says while sharing a weak smile. "Let's eat," I say.
