A collective sound of falling chairs breaks into place. "YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE" Nicole yells slamming Y/N's chest. "YOU CAN'T DO THIS. I- YOU FUCK." She continues, still hitting their chest. "I'm sorry" "NO YOU'RE NOT. YOU'RE CRUEL." "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, angel' Y/N tries, but no changes happen. Robbie had to grab Nicole to calm her down. While Robbie and Lizzie are with Nicole, Fernando goes and gives them the biggest-longest hug. "You're alive. Your annoying ass is still with me. Thank you for not dying." He whispers, crying on Y/N's shoulder. 'Well...' Y/N thought. Fernando steps aside when he saw Dan come up. "Mate," Dan said, feeling relieved and sorrowful. Dan goes and hugs them. "What really happened?" He whispers. All he gets is a deep sigh as the response. "It's ok, don't tell just yet. I'm just reminding you that we could go for a drink whenever you need to." You came back to me...to us." Scarlett starts to bawl her eyes out. "Hi love" They whispered. "Hiii" Scarlett replied in a baby voice. At this moment, the two hold each other in their bubble. Their surrounding faded into nothing.

After a few minutes went by, Nicole, Lizzie, and Robbie approached, bringing them back. "I got you flowers, they're in the van." Y/N said as they break the hug. This detail earns a smile of Scarlett while nodding. "Y/n/n?" Nicole's voice appears. "Nicole...I'm soo sorry. I just wanted you guys to know..." "It's ok, don't explain just come here." They finally reunite. For Nicole, a hug from Y/n will always bring her to tears ever since high school. "You're still my little dumbass though," Nicole added, making everyone laugh. "I second that." Lizzie says. "Hi lizard. JESUS" Y/N basically attacks the couple. The couple just laughs it through expecting that there is something behind all of this.
"Major" Brewer called, making Y/N let go of the couple and respond in formation." Lieutenant Colonel Riggs. Brigadier General Brewer " they salute. "At ease" Y/N relaxed. "Please let's return to this meeting so you can enjoy Y/N's return" Brewer requested. As they returned to their sits, Y/N ended up in the middle of Scarlett and Lizzie. Next to Lizzie, were Nicole and Robbie. Next to Scarlett, was Hunter, Fernando, and Dan. Ending the circle with the officials. As they sit, Scarlett notices that Y/N was having trouble. Lizzie slightly made eye contact with Scarlett like saying if she was seeing this. Scarlett nodded and quickly and privately helped Y/N.
Normal POV:
This is embarrassing, trying to be subtle while sitting down and recovering from a femur fracture. I can see Scarlett up on my instability then I feel her hand grab my forearm, guiding me. After sitting down, I take a deep breath, knowing that Lizzie and Scarlett are linked right now. Before they could question it, Brewer starts " Major Rodriguez will be out of the field for the timing been. Their time on deployment was complete, of course. But they will be out of the field anyway. Meaning no service until a year or 2. They've been medically excused." The faces of relief and confusion spread. "Medically excused? Like medically retired?" Dan asks, confused. "What really happened?" He continues. "That information cannot be discussed," Riggs replies. "As Brewer here said, this case is still under investigation. So the information is limited." Riggs continues. "Meaning that there are dangerous matters." Dan realizes. "No Lieutenant Dan, we mean that there's an investigation going on and we have protocols," Brewer says, hinting at annoyance. "The NDAs will last until this investigation ends." He continues.
After 10 minutes of discussing the terms of the NDAs, this meeting ends but before they left, they ask to talk privately. After struggling to get up, I head outside to talk to them. Knowing what the conversation will be. "Major, we know you wanted to limit the information but do you give us permission to inform Lieutenant Dan at least?" Brewer asks. "I mean he's figuring it out as we speak." He adds, walking to their car. As I think about it, I decide to let Dan know just in case. "Ok but only Dan and not right now nor here. Call him into your office or something, not here." I reply, making eye contact with him. "Then Major, we'll see you soon, I hope." I salute him in formation as he turns. "Brigadier General Brewer" I say, lowing my hand. "Ethan." I see him aside from me. "You're home, y/n/n. Enjoy it and please go get your girl." He whispers while approaching me for a hug. Making me laugh. "I will, now go tell Jackie and the kids hi for me. I will visit soon, I promise." I reply, continuing the hug. "Take care of yourself, physically and mentally." He says as he walks to the car.
