Virgo's pov
Krystalite is one of the best city and for very good reasons, from its high tech era to its magnificent structures.
The city is run digitally and its impossible for people to break in, which is why its business partners has trust in it.
"I'm gonna be sick" Scorpio gagged, staggering as we walked. Turns out Scorpio has motion sickness and we had to travel here through a fast moving train that goes through a series of loops.
"We can rest til you get better?" I asked her but she turned down my offer. She always has to act like there's nothing wrong.
I shrugged, giving up in persuading her.
The city of Krystalite held the Peridot gem and that's what were here for.
I had read everything about the gem and the city, so this mission is gonna be easy. And about the map, I've checked and memorized everything, from the landmarks to every tiny detail. I spent the past two days getting ready, any mistake in this highly protected city might risk our lives.
The Peridot is the gem of the Virgo so yeah, I was in charge.
"You look better now, are you feeling okay?" I patted Scorpio's back.
She mumbled a few words, showing a slight smile.
We stepped out of the train station and was greeted and blinded by the sight of the city, it was magnificent like everything was made from crystals, reflecting the sunlight.
Everything appear to be floating on air as we could barely see the ground.
"Sweet!" Gemini exclaimed, looking at the dept beneath the glass we stood.
I forgot he was on this mission.
"How in the fu-" Scorpio was interrupted when a cylindrical booth stopped in front of us.
It wasn't very big and from the looks of it, it could only carry four people.
"Let's get in" I ordered, stepping into the glass object. It was pinned to a moving rod that travel all around the city.
Gemini got in after me and then Scorpio. "Are you sure it won't break?" Scorpio fretted. This is probably not the best mission for her. If only she had told us she had motion sickness and was afraid of height, I would had considered another person.
"C'mon its safe, over the years it has carried millions if not Billions of people" Gemini tried to make her feel better.
"Dude, which means it can break at anytime" Scorpio deadpanned, frowning at him.
I looked at the great height between us and the ground. "Wait, hold it for me" a young girl waved, trying to get our attention.
"Let's fucking ditch her" Scorpio grinned as the door shut close. The elevator booth like thing started moving making Scorpio to yelp. "Make it stop"
After a smooth and steady ride, Scorpio was beginning to feel better. That was until we were about to make a drop.
I saw the panic on her face and held her hand, it was cold and surprisingly soft. "We'll be out soon" I assured. As we the booth was dropping Scorpio held tighter, squeezing the fuck out of my fingers.
"That was fun" Gemini effused as we got out of the booth, our feet reuniting with the ground after fourteen long hours since we left the hideout.
Scorpio punched his shoulder glaring at him. Gemini wasn't being his weird self but he wasn't back to his normal annoying self either.
Even the ground of the city looked like crystals, there were both regular vehicles that rode on land and the super expensive vehicles that floats just above the ground.
"I wanna ride one of those" Gemini pointed at a fly bike. Scorpio smacked his finger down.
"Stop pointing like a child"
Even tho she tried to hide it, it was obvious she liked talking to Gemini.
"You see that big building?" I asked, pointing at a huge skyscraper with the letter 'M' on it, Gemini and Scorpio nodded.
"I mean its the biggest building here, who would miss it?" Gemini tilted his head.
"Dumbos like you, obviously" Scorpio crossed her arms, rolling her eyes. Gemini tried to protest but I stopped them.
"You too argue like an old couple"
"That's a very cliché line, by the way" Scorpio sassed, averting her eyes. Was it just me or was she blushing? Its probably me.
I sighed, before proceeding to explain the plan again. "Okay so, the gem is kept away in a machine that cannot be traced, but its only brought out once a year to charge up this city, and in that building is were the charging takes place, any question?"
"Won't they notice that the replacement gem isn't powering the city?" Scorpio questioned.
"That's is why we need to do it afterwards"
"So we're just borrowing the gem? Wait, if it belongs to the zodiacs why are all these people with it?" Gemini prodded. "I haven't read this part yet on the constellations book"
"I honestly don't know" I said, shrugging.
"Shouldn't this be the first thing in the book?" Scorpio put out.
"We'll worry about that later" I got up. "Let's go"
