"It came from the west," Pisces said, panic laced in his voice. He, by the means of his clone, could see a lab burning due to a trap set to keep people away.
The fire wasn't very big, but there was a lot of smoke in the room, so he quickly canceled the clone, in other to avoid getting affected.
"What now? Should we leave?" Sagittarius asked, waiting for a response. Of courses he thought the question was dumb. Why would they leave when they haven't acquired the gem.
"Course not, we need the gem, dummy," Scorpio ranted from the back, she flinched when a loud sound was made.
The poor building was too tired to stand anymore and the exploring made it worse. The trap was a last minute craft to keep people away from this particular building.
And what they haven't realised was that a clone had accidentally restarted a bot, by turning on a supposed light switch and the fire was a way to avoid the creation of another dooms day.
'That tiny fire?' You may say, but the fire was just to burn the chemicals in the lab, creating a smoke that would destroy the circuit of the bot.
"You two need to go out, I'll search for it myself," Pisces used his oversized sleeves to protect his nose from the smoke which was rapidly spreading.
"Are you trying to play the hero right now?" Sagittarius glared at him, tilting his head to the side.
Pisces shifted his glance to a corridor, and then back to the watch. "The gem is there, just trust me," Pisces voice came out rather harsher than he expected for it to be.
"We are not gonna let you go alone," Scorpio who was now clinging to Sagittarius scolded, a furious look on her face.
"We're wasting ti. . ." Pisces sentence was interrupted when a loud creaking sound was heard.
The building's foundation was broken and soon enough the object ranging from boxes to metal pieces, that laid on the ground started sliding towards the left.
They could barely stand, holding onto anything that was attached to the roof. "This is frustrating," Scorpio frowned, hanging on her chain, Pisces and Sagittarius behind her.
"I know now is not the time, but," Sagittarius cleared his throat, a silly grin on. "Do you feel the weight of the thing you hold with your chain thingy?" He lifted his eyes to meet the angry gaze of Scorpio. "No?"
She couldn't answer, she was too terrified to. Hanging from the top of a really high building, her grip on the roof breaking.
"I'm gonna bring us down, try not to move too much," Scorpio warned, releasing more length.
Pisces jumped off, clinging onto a piece of metal. "You guys go, I'll join you," He told off, climbing back to the top.
"What? Are you stupid?" Scorpio yelled.
Pisces ignored all the ranting from them, getting back into the smoke filled lab. He searched all the room he came across, until he finally reached a lock door.
"Fuck!" Pisces cussed, looking at the combination lock. The smoke weakening him wasn't doing any good either.
The watch was beeping like crazy, it had to be this room. Pisces started pacing around, anxiously biting his nails, using his free hand to rake his hair.
The were no clue whatsoever.
It took a while but it finally hit him, he could use the watch, right? By this time the entire place was smoke filled and Pisces could barely see, breathe and maybe stay alive.
The swiped the surface of the watching searching for anything to help, but since it wasn't his time to go to the other side (shit, I should've said 'die') or just plain luck, the watched displayed purple light that seemed to scanned the combination lock.
A 'ding' sound was made and the door open. Pisces with weak and trembling legs, unable to see and breath properly, wobbled into the lab, his nose hurting from inhaling so much.
He searched until he saw a safe hidden within the walls. Using the same technique, Pisces opened the safe, taking out the moonstone.
By now everything was blurry, unreal and non existent.
Meanwhile!
"What's taking that idiot so long?" Scorpio grunted, using her last energy to pull her chain, Sagittarius behind her.
"Maybe he's dead?" Sagittarius assumed, pulling along with Scorpio.
The building finally snapped and was about to tip over, luckily Scorpio wrapped as much length of her chain around it, delaying its fall. To prevent Pisces from. . .you know. . .dying?
"Shut up before I stab you with the arrow on the tip," Scorpio sneered, trying not to let go.
"If only you said 'rip up my insides' that would've been hot."
"Number one, disgusting, I never saw you as someone who'd be into that," Scorpio's brow furrowed. "Two, get your stupid ass inside and look for Pisces."
"But-"
"Just go, you fool."
Sagittarius ran on the side of the slant building, dashing into many labs, searching for Pisces, the building getting more and more to the ground.
While speeding by, his eyes caught sight of an all too familiar purple light. So the redhead, sped into the room, picking up the unconscious brunette.
It was too much, too heavy for Scorpio now. Her chain unwrapped, sending the tall metal building to crash against the ground, bits of metals and other object flying towards her.
Scorpio covered her face, looking the other way, but everywhere was cool and filled with nice wild flowers, trees and a creak. "How the fuck?''
"Me, babygirl," Sagittarius grinned, dropping the unconscious Pisces.
Scorpio pushed him aside, rushing Pisces. "Is he dead?"
"I don't know?" Sagittarius rubbed his nape, confused.
"Don't answer my question with a question, dammit."
"Are you two gonna argue like this at my funeral?" Pisces's voice was weak and held little power, his eyes still shut, followed by a fit of coughs.
"Oh good, you're alive," Scorpio sighed, sitting down on the soft grass.
"She was about to cry," Sagittarius immediately dodged the arrow head she sent at him, panic in his eyes. "You just tried killing me?"
"Thought you were into that?" Scorpio smirked, she then focus her attention on Pisces.
The three decided to sit there til he was at least able to walk again.
