Continuation of Chapter 11

Narrator's POV

They all exited the pod and witnessed the beauty of nature. At the right, the coast. "So, how's Earth so far?" Marshal smirked. "Words can't describe how I feel.." N said excitedly. "Same." The females responded in unison in a flat tone as they are distracted by the scenery.

"Transport's probably already here. C'mon." He beckoned the drones as they took one last look at the plants.

Later

Marshal immediately stopped in an empty airfield. "What's wrong?" N asked as he put his hand on Marshal's shoulder. "Something's not right.. They're supposed to be here by now." Marshal looked around.

He noticed a casing underneath him. He crouched and inspected it. "They're here." He got back up readying his pulse AR while running to a hangar and going behind it.

"What's wrong with him?" V asked. N shrugged his shoulders.

Gunfire and yelling could be heard from Marshal's location. A bass drop could be heard, and someone was sent flying from behind the hangar.

That someone though, froze mid-air. His whole body was somehow glitching, except the drones. Marshal walked to the floating person.

"Marshal? What's going on?" N walked to Marshal.

"There's something wrong with the simulation."

"S-simulation?" N tilted his head.

"Yeah. Didn't I tell you guys this is just a simulation?" Marshal let go of his Pulse AR and walked somewhere.

"No?" The rest followed him as 'Earth' turned into the interior of one of Copper 9's abandoned warehouses.

"Uh, Mr. Marshal, I don't think you told them about it." Thad appeared out of nowhere.

"T-Thad?" Uzi stammered. Thad waved at her.

Marshal took his helmet off, revealing his blond hair. However, his respirator remained on him.

He walked to a desk with a computer on it.

Later

Marshal and N walked to the seats and sat beside each other. Marshal sighed.

The other drones were speaking to each other.

"So. A er, simulation? Why can't we go there immediately?" N held Marshal's hand.

"Well.. Being a member of something like the organization I'm in has its advantages and disadvantages. Remember the glitching person floating?" Marshal looked at N, concerned.

N nodded. "That man is part of a rival group. They are trained to take out everyone a part of the organization I'm in, and its allies. Their other goal is to unleash chaos to the world. I do these simulations almost everyday because of them."

"I also do this to protect you." Marshal held N's cheek. "Aww, you're so sweet." N smiled and kissed him on the forehead.

The rest of the drones walked to Marshal and N. "And uh, you guys, of course." Marshal let go. N and Marshal stood up.

"Hey uh, guys? Can you uh, help us a little?" Thad asked.

"What's wrong?" Marshal kneeled in front of him.

"Well, a lot of us have been disappearing. And uh, the other Murder Drone, the uh, one you killed, I guess, uh, sort of crawled away.." Marshal stood up and N's eyes widened.

"Ah, that. V, stay here." Marshal said and V nodded.

"I guess we can return a little.." Uzi said.
