here's why I said fictional: A hacker with no life decided to tamper with this story a year ago, from what I know. He tampered by editing an unreleased chapter.
Example of how he tampered an unreleased chapter:
Title: I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE :)) Content: You live in [location]
They have blackmailed me twice or so, but I continued not to let their actions intimidate me.
I did not have law enforcement involved, but I responded instead.
I responded to the example above by offering him to come over.
They changed the subject after that.
After a while I took more security precautions and they were no longer to be seen.
They tried to speak to me once, but I never responded.
I never got any contact whatsoever from them at that point.
Up to this day I continue to try and secure myself further despite receiving no contact from the hacker.
The last action they took was deleting major parts of the chapter (chapter 1 - 7, I think). I had 6k reads and 130+ votes before. It turned to 2k+ reads and 30+ votes after they deleted it.
I managed to save all the chapters however before they deleted it.
Now, onto the thank you part..
If the said chapters weren't deleted, this story would have gotten 8k reads.
And that is why I wrote this. To thank you all for helping me reach 8k (if the said situation didn't occur) reads.
