Part 8

Jordan pov

After school was over, Phoebe and I were talking in the courtyard when suddenly, I got a call from an unknown number.

Jordan - "Hello?"

Jennifer - "Hey, Jordan! It's Jennifer!"

Jordan - "Oh, hi! I'm.... surprised to hear from you"

Jennifer - "I got your number from Lily. I hope that's okay. Is Phoebe there by any chance?"

Jordan - "Yes, she's with me now. Hold on, let me put it on speaker"

Then Phoebe looked up from her phone and gave me a confused glare. I put the phone on speaker so that Phoebe could also hear.

Jennifer - "Alright. As I'm sure you both know, Hadley's birthday is in a week. The cast wanted to organize a party for her"

Phoebe - "The whole cast?"

Jennifer - "Only Gabriel, Dove and I have talked about it yet, but yes"

Phoebe - "Okay, just please make sure not to invite Blake"

Jennifer - "Yes, Dove told me Blake's been making some... unwelcome advances towards Hadley, lately"

I tensed up immediately at the thought of it. I would rip his head off, but then I'd probably go to jail and also be harassed by crazy fans.

Jennifer - "Anyways, we want to organize a surprise party for her, but since we're famous and all, it's hard to go out and buy stuff. I know her birthday itself is on Tuesday, but I booked a small event place for Sunday afternoon. I'll need help from the both of you"

Jordan - "Yeah, of course, whatever you need. I'm sure my parents and little sister won't mind helping out either"

Jennifer - "Great! Then, I just need one of you to help me decorate on Sunday, and the other to occupy her for a few hours and then bring her to the party"

Phoebe - "What exactly needs to be decorated and set up?"

Jennifer - "Simple stuff. Colour co-ordinating, designing and putting everything up"

Jordan - "That's all Phoebe"

Phoebe - (giggles) "I definitely have a better eye for fashion than you do"

Jordan - "Well, I don't hear you complaining, since you wear all of my clothes"

Phoebe - "Fair enough"

Jordan - "Back to you, Jennifer, I can find something to occupy Hadley for a few hours and Phoebs can help you put together the party. Believe me, she can do it herself in seconds"

Jennifer - "Perfect. I'm sorry, but I have to run now. I'll message you the address and time everyone should be there. Bye! Thank you again!"

Phoebe - "Bye Jennifer!"

Jennifer hung up the phone and Phoebe and I got in the car and she started to drive home. When we got there, Lily was already in the living room

Jordan - "So did Jennifer tell you?"

Lily - "About what?"

Phoebe - "About Sunday-"

Lily - "Oh, yes! The surprise party, she told me. I'm just trying to figure out how to occupy her for the time we'll be gone"

Jordan - "I can take care of that. Lately, she's been getting a bit nervous with her scenes so I've been helping her practice some of her lines and stuff"

Lily - "We'll probably need all morning though to get everything done"

Jordan - "I'll figure something out"

Lily - "Okay, perfect. Then Phoebe and I can go help Jennifer set up while you're with Hads. You sure you two will be okay at home for that long?"

Jordan - "Lily, no offence, but we're almost legal adults. I think we'll be just fine"

We continue talking about the party for a while until Lily had to go pick up Hadley from the set. When they got back home, Phoebe, Hadley and I all went upstairs and into Hadley's bedroom.

Phoebe - "So how did filming go today?"

Hadley - (sighs) "Could've been better"

Jordan - "Why? What happened?"

Hadley - "Well first there was Blake. He kept calling me his girlfriend and he was staring at me all day. I told him we're not together and he said 'that's not what the fans will think'"

Phoebe - "Damn, Hads. That sucks. What else happened?"

Hadley - "What do you mean what else happened? Nothing else happened. Everything's fine and it-"

Jordan - "Sunshine, calm down. If you don't want to talk about it yet, that's okay"

Hadley - "No it's not that. It's just...."

Jordan - "Just what?"

Hadley - "It's girl talk..."

Jordan - "Sunshine, it's okay. I can go if it makes you more comfortable. Is that what you want?"

She nodded slowly. I kissed her forehead and Phoebe's before climbing through the bridge into my room.
