Jordan pov

After Hadley left my room, I looked back at my dad who looked confused.

Jordan - "What's wrong, dad?"

Irvin - "Nothing... just... you two really didn't do anything at all last night?"

Jordan - "Dad, no. And I'm done talking about this"

Irvin - "Okay, just making sure"

Jordan - "I mean, of course, I love Hadley, and if there ever comes a point in our lives when we both want to, then maybe we will. But we didn't do anything. We're just best friends"

Irvin - "If you're just best friends, why don't you go on dates with other girls or have a girlfriend?"

Jordan - "Because I don't like anyone that I want to date"

Irvin - "Son, look me in my eye and tell me you don't have any feelings for Hadley"

I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. No. I didn't have feelings for Hadley. Did I? I looked down.

Irvin - "I thought so. So I'm gonna ask again, did you and Hadley have sex last night?"

Jordan - (sighs) "No, we didn't. Come on, dad, don't you trust me?"

Irvin - "You know I do, Jordan, but teenagers lie to their parents all the time about these kinds of things"

Jordan - "Glad to know you think so well of me"

Irvin - "Jordan-"

Jordan - "No, dad. I have to get ready, so please leave now"

He sighed and left. I frowned slightly before getting up and ready for the day, Once I was ready, I went downstairs and both my parents were already sitting at the table.

Winnie - "Morning, Jordan. I made pancakes"

Jordan - "Thanks, mom"

I fixed myself a plate of pancakes and Tara came down.

Tara - "Coffee"

Jordan - "See, dad?! She's thirteen and drinking coffee, I never started drinking coffee until a year ago. And you think I... never mind. Phoebe will be here soon, I'm leaving"

Irvin - "Jordan, your breakfast-"

Jordan - "I'm not hungry. I'll see you later"

I just grabbed my bag and left. Phoebe and I carpool together every day, so she usually came to pick me up. I got in the car and we left.

Jordan - "Hey, Phoebs"

Phoebe - "Hey Jordan. How's it going?"

Jordan - "Eh. Could be better"

Phoebe - "Why? Did something happen?"

Jordan - "My dad doesn't trust me"

Phoebe - "What do you mean he doesn't trust you? Did you do something? Did he do something?"

Jordan - "Last night, Hadley couldn't sleep so she came to my room. My dad woke us up this morning and he thinks we had sex"

Phoebe - "And did you?"

Jordan - "No! We cuddled, but no, we didn't do anything"

Phoebe - "Since when does Jordan Ellis cuddle?"

Jordan - "We were both tired, okay?

Phoebe - "Right. When you two get together, don't forget about me"

Jordan - "First of all; we will not be getting together, and second of all, we could never forget someone as crazy as you"

Phoebe - "Hey!"

We both laughed and I kissed the side of her head.

Jordan - "Oh, I forgot to ask you; what happened yesterday when your mom called?"

Phoebe - "Oh yeah. She's leaving for a business trip"

Jordan - "So why couldn't she just tell you that on the phone?"

Phoebe - "She got a promotion offer at work, and it involves a lot of travelling. Since we're going to university next year, she was asking me how I feel about it"

Jordan - "Didn't she say it was urgent?"

Phoebe - "She has to give them her answer by the end of the day. I told her she should take it. I can stay with you or Hadley for the rest of the year"

Jordan - "You know you're always welcome. I know Lily and Aaron will be happy to let you stay with them as well"

Phoebe - "Yeah, maybe"

She parked the car in the school parking lot and we got out of the car. We entered the school and went into the student lounge and sat down on the sofa. We talked more before going to class. I ate lunch with Phoebe like I usually do. After school, we went home. On the ride home, we started talking again.

Jordan - "Hey Phoebs, I'm pretty sure Lily is home. Maybe we can talk to her about you staying in one of the guest rooms"

Phoebe - "Oh, yeah, that's a good idea"

Jordan - (smirks) "I know"

Phoebe - (laughs) "Shut up"

We both laughed and went to Lily's house We never knock because it's practically our second home there.

Lily - "Hi Jordan. Hi Phoebe"

Jordan + Phoebe - "Hey Lily"

Lily - "Hadley's not home yet. I'm going to pick her up in half an hour. You're welcome to come if you'd like"

Jordan - "Sure, but we actually came here for something else"

She looked up at us, confused, and tilted her head.

Phoebe - "My mom has been offered a promotion at work. It's a lot of travelling and we're going to University next year anyway, so I told her to take it. But, that means she won't be here for a lot of the rest of the year, so I was hoping I could maybe stay in one of the guest bedrooms here"

Lily - (smiles) "Of course you can, Phoebe. You're always welcome here"

She let out a breath of relief before saying;

Phoebe - "Thank you so much, Lily"'

Lily - "It's no problem, really"

Everyone smile. After half an hour, Lily left to go get Hadley. Phoebe wanted to get a few stuff from home and we thought we could surprise Haley when she got home. I went with Phoebe to help her get her things. We got back to Hadley's house and put her things in the room she was staying in. I heard Lily's car pull up in the driveway and the doorknob turned.

Phoebe - "Surprise!"

Hadley - "Why is this a surprise? You're here, like, pretty much every day"

Phoebe - "True. But now, I'll also be sleeping here every day"

She was confused for a few moments before realization dawned on her.

Hadley - "Oh my god, does that mean what I think it means?"

She nodded, excitedly. They both squealed and hugged each other tightly. I smile, watching two of my favourite girls happy.
